I've fixed bikes that have burnt holes in pistons, dropped valves and I even had the pleasure of owning a bike which dropped a little end bearing and spitting a pin out, get stuck against the bore and piston and take out the powervalve and crack the bore too (2stroke).

No shop, it happened at The Gap in Brisbane about 2 years ago.

Maybe I am getting old, lol.
To me though it just look's like a typical young fella that may have or (may not have) run out of money or time and need to replace a damaged panel but hasn't as of yet. As for the stockies on the rear well that's just a tell tale sign of burnout's isn't it, or they like people to think that they have been doing them as most love to drive around with different rim's (stockies) on the back for no other reason then to give the illusion of mischeif. Anyway it does look like a standard (bogan) Commo for these day's anyway. lol. |

Some of the so called fails in this thread are a little subjective, i mean **** me, id hate to see my car end up on a holden fail thread just because i couldnt afford to get my front bar painted cause of more pressing matters like eating or keeping mortgage payments on track. Ease up on the judgementals and clear in the process of repair guys.

I personally dont mind that purple and Orange commodore. The paint looks in really good condition and, if that is a cooler, it probably goes well to boot.

When i lived at home, i could spend all my money on my car. Now I own a home, it will take me a couple of months and months and months to repair my front bar. There are clear fails and there are instances of misfortune. Maybe when your old enough to have your first beer you'll understand. Maybe the guy with the orange commodore doesnt care cause all his money is going into his self funded race car?

wtf is it with all the people saying 'hmm that actaully doesnt look too bad' that purple and orange commo looks terrible, nothing subjective about it, that orange commo is bogan spec, hes got stockies on the rear and different coloured panels, if he cant afford to get them resprayed well that is the reason its a fail, it doesnt make it a non-fail.

This... Not everyone has Cash money to get everything fixed asp... my guess is he has done a repair himself, excess can be well over $1000 for kids these days. Same with people laughing at, say, a Xt with XR/FPV parts. Not eveyone can afford a FPV/XR and insurance, nor do they have a need for a perfomance car...i see no problem in tarted up base models. Been done for years, XY falcon 500 owners slapping on GT parts. What i do have a problem with is, People looking down their noses at the people doing these things, wow, you have a good paying job and can afford the latest XR or FPV, thats cool, good luck to you. You should be happy that P-Platers are trashing look-a-likes rather then the real thing.
