Washed the wheelie bin lids, first bleach solution then wash-n-wax. About two years overdue; the bin bay is under a tree which encourages mould growth on them.

Got my car back from the mechanics today. The bill wasnt as bad as i was expecting, plus because i paid cash he adjusted the invoice to knock a few bucks off. Not cash no receipt, word of mouth warrenty 10% off business, but a few bucks off with an invoice and warrenty etc.
So end of my few days catching youbers. Although interestingly enough, i got a youber yesterday and the bloke was driving an fgx g6e. This bloke is retired so only does youber a couple times a week to keep himself occupied and boost his income a little past his super. But he is the first to say that he is probably the only if not one of very few youbers who uses a falcon. Compared to a hybrid whatever fuel costs eat into to his takings. It was a pretty nice car though, 105k on the clock.

I admit to slight disappointment. Was hoping the signed album was one of those personally dedicated efforts, viz: “To DFB FGXR6, love Kylie”

Well, went for dinner with my son and my mum. I asked my kid if he is in with my plan. He said yes, but i did not tell him the plan. All i asked of him was to ask grandma (me mum) how much battery was left in her phone. My kid is as good at keeping a secret as a collinder is as a water storage vessel.
So that was done, all that meant was me bringing in one of those powerbank thingys, but i told my little (taller but younger then me) bloke the plan and executed said plan.
So yeah, gave my mum a new phone. Standard issue questions, but transfer over the old crap to a new phone and its all the same. Main differences between my mums old samsung a21s vs her now s21fe? The s21 is 5g and has a better camera. Dunno how a better camera will help her as she does the old person thing of taking heaps of photos yet most are partially covered by her finger. But anyhow, she is larry as happy with it, and my son knows the deal. He is tech support.

Having a laugh with a mate, I had to collect his wife from the airport as she’s come abruptly to the mainland for some estate matters. They’re both pretty stressed by it, so I messaged in advance, should I bring cold B&C’s?

He was like “Is that cold beer plus cuddles? I’ll come up, too!”

I think “beer and cuddles” will be a running joke for a while yet.

Yesterday, supermarket car park, when I came out there was a Ferrari 488 parked next to me. I was going to hang around just to listen to it but didn't.

Some years ago I and some others were visiting a bloke who had a 458. I was on my bike. We started them up and he asked two younger women which one they preferred/liked most. One said the Ferrari, the other said my bike.

Got my car regoed today. If it didnt pass i probably would have pushed it into a creek somewhere as this week alone i had a mechanics bill and got 4 new tyres. But it passed no issues. Then because the weather was nice i took myself off for a ride. First decent ride since i put an exhaust on the little thing. Didnt have any cars change lanes on me blindly today either as now you can hear the little bike.

Awesome weather here now saving me $$$ not paying for gas!

Took today and Tuesday off work so that's always good. Thought I was getting a quote to replace all my lights to LEDs but they were good to go right there and then so got the whole house done with a couple of extras in less than 3 hours. Very happy with the result, so much better

Got both the front and back weeded and bought the supplies to get the lawn going. Expensive and productive day!

Today was the last day before a week off from my main employment, a much needed "stay-cation" after a heavy workload over winter and early spring. As a treat, I drove the Mustang to work!

The drive home was splendid too, taking the back way home for a change. Normally, taking the back way lands me stuck behind some old farmer doing 20 kph under the limit. And normally, my Ranger is so underpowered that it's not all that wise to attempt overtaking. In the Mustang though, well, that's a different story! POWER! The ultra short gearing in the pre-2018 MT-82's makes it so much more frenetic and suits the rev-happy nature of the Coyote more than the moonshot gearing the later MT-82's had.

All of that is making me get sad about saying goodby to this car soon. I wish I could keep it.

I have the new S650 on order. One car has to go to make room, I'm not willing to part with either of my Falcon's, so the Mustang is it.

Fixed my mums dishwasher today. Also found the source of her other leak, not confident on fixing that one myself, but mum now has photos which i put circles on to show her friends husband who is a retired plumber.
Best part was mum really wanted me to look at this stuff for her however she is away at the moment. I am the holder of her spare key. So that meant i could get straight to work with out the obligitory cuppa beforehand and every 2 minites during being asked if id like another cuppa or cake etc.
Funny thing also, my mum is really impressed with the phone i gave her as it does everything her old one did. I did explain to her the new one will do wireless charging. Her attitude was the same as mine, how hard is it to plug it in. But anyhow i had a spare wireless charge pad so ive left that for her. If she doesnt use it, atleast it comes with a usb c cable. No such thing as too many charger cables in my book.
