It's been 4 weeks since my doc prescribed a new drug that she thought would help me.
...and Eureka they work! I have some pep back and am able to do little projects without feeling that I'm about to collapse! It's been a few years since I felt this good! |

That’s excellent. I’ve sometimes wondered how you can fight on with the ailments you’ve outlined previously.

Quoting in Yarrawonga and arriving a little early so wandered down to take a pic of the ex Albury paddle wheeler, Cumberoona.
She has been in the process of restoration. As I snapped the pics, the owner turned up and asked if I would like a quick tour onboard. Today is the first fire up of it's single stage steam boiler after its engine restoration and was gradually building steam. Great to see a beaut old steam boat being given some love and good to hear it has plenty of wedding booking over the coming months.

Still on a high from seeing Paul McCartney Wednesday night.
Sold out they said...I kept trying ticketek and had a ticket in my basket eith less than 24hrs to go before show. And it wouldnt accept any credit card!! Rang my daughter to try her card, same deal. However she couldnt believe there were tix so she tried and Bam, 2 seats side by side.Yay, we went together like we originally had wanted and had a great great night. Seats were close to soundboard and central, so sounded great. Never give up, sold out is not sold out apparently. |

You guys have got a long way to go.... We went from wanting rain one day (to put out the bushfires) to wanting the rain and flood water to go away a matter of days later!

Heartless Melbourne City lost their first game of the season. Double header with the W-League and 2 two Melbourne based teams couldn't attract a good crowd.

Took my young bloke to see Monster Jam down at the Gold Coast today. Apart from the fact I could only get seats in the Eastern stand.... In an open topped stadium.... For a show running from 1pm to 3pm... it was pretty grand.
Those crazy rigs are certainly not short of power and the noise they emitted through their ever-so-short extractors was rather cathartic, if not a little brusque. The little man was happy to watch to the very end and I'm sure it will be something he remembers for years to come. (Perhaps only to tell a shrink about how I negligently made him sit in the baking sun for hours on end amidst exhaust fumes and ear splitting engine noises). Oh well, it still made me feel good. Cheers, Tony |

Geoff Hurst last man standing from 1966 World Cup final. All of his team mates gave up waiting for England to win another World Cup.

Couple of imperial pints in the afternoon sun at a newly discovered brewery. Talking crap with a mate for 2 hours thinking about nothing else.

Sydney weather (fairly stable temperature and humidity) at present is just about perfect for stringed instruments to sound their best.

Just applied for Xmas leave. Taking all of January off.
And my boss has agreed, in principle, to me using up my leave balance by taking every second Monday next year off. With my RDOs on the alternating Mondays, that means I will only work a maximum of four days every week next year.

A little free advice didn't go unnoticed from this vineyard.
Only thing is I don't drink.

Not so much today, but after the troubles with my car a couple of weeks ago it was nice to get it serviced on Wednesday with a basic service and no issues at all except changing the diff oil just because it has been a while. 20 years old so those are becoming rarer

I’m camping on the floor at this deceased estate I’m helping clear. A few weeks ago the gas meter was officially read and disconnected. Only it wasn’t ever actually disconnected - so the stove works fine and we have hot showers.

Power or gas never gets disconnected, well at least in Victoria this applies to, enjoy your hot showers on the next owner's expense, because he/she will be paying the bill

Lobbed in a cheeky offer on a Fleabay part, $350 vs asking $400. It was accepted in minutes and I then used a $20 off code to shave my price further. 17,5% is a nice discount in anyone’s language.

ONICE would be cool. Could be interpreted several different ways.

The Maxwell Ave, Ashcroft, double fatality involving a BA Falcon.
Not quite “made me feel good” but a sense of relief that things moved fairly swiftly post-crash. |

The phenominon continues. So was driving today as what is done and there was an empty rbt. The 3 cars infront of me got pulled in, they waved me past, then pulled in the 2 cars behind me. Not that it would have been an issue had they pulled me in. In the 13 years ive owned the fairmont i have always been waved past rbts, never been pulled in. Very much different to when i was driving fridge white work vans/utes. Even if the rbt was full they'd make me block traffic. Again ive never had an issue with rbts but for some reason they always wave through my grandpa car.
