…Informally administered RUDAS test, completely failed the shopping list. And naming the animals - started well: “Lion” Followed by “Algebra”.
I’m not sure what continent they’re found on, or if Noah took two on the Ark, but by then laughter pretty much nixed the rest. https://www.dementiaresearch.org.au/...RUDAS_Form.pdf |

Use an air blower. Leaves a mess on the ground to clean up but at least it's on the ground. |

Those toilet paper dispensers that use a large roll of continuous paper.
I get why businesses use them, but as a consumer, they're terrible! They're never wide enough and they never tear where you want them to or tear evenly! You end up with a thin piece of paper that is torn length ways that is only just capable of doing the job.

Since I just spent a lot of money getting roof work done I was trying to find anything around the house to scoop it out but just very little room to work with. I plan on getting a ladder and blower rather than pay for that again and can only get to pergola area from the roof. |

People zooming unnecessarily down my street, four lorikeets squashed in an hour as they fed on fallen seeds from the liquidambar trees. The saddest part was watching one very much alive lorikeet persistently trying to “wake up” his dead mate.

I hear you.
It doesn’t anger so much as sadden me. Lorikeets are an imperfect bird, but less destructive to the habitat of others than the noisy miner. Around here almost every tree is likely to be felled; people and their sense of social futility, lashing out by destroying a century-plus of canopy. |

As annoying as some find in the dawn and dusk, i like the swarks of rainbows and rosellas. At my old house my neighbour had a big tree in her yard and that wasnt their nesting place, but it was their hang out spot. At some times of the year you could see weird inverted branch bird sex going on, but hey, thats one step away from extinction i guess. Didnt mind the cockatoos either, although they did make a mess of my driveway with all the mandarins theyd pinch from the house in fronts tree, take 1 bite then grab another...

The feeder street that my mum lives off has a bunch of banksias planted along the nature strip. Lorikeet heaven at the right time of the year. My mum drives a Nissan xtrail with roof racks permanently installed. Sadly, caught one of the little fellas on them one year

Specialist telling me that I must get my shingle X , apparently its a must have with RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and if I got a dose I would end up in hospital.
So had the injection yesterday, last night my arm was rather tender, this morning I felt like I did with the astra Zeneca sweating like a pig and aching big time. Not looking forward to the follow up injection in 3 months. Terry |

I had it about 2 years ago now and the nerves in my right rib are still sensitive. A friend got the rash on his face, almost lost his right eye. But I don't remember the shot causing me pain like yours. Good luck with #2

Potholes everywhere. The main roads in Sydney are in the worst condition I can remember and will only get worse with all this rain.

Absolutely agree it’s worth being vaccinated. I was very fortunate when it appeared around my eyes, having only had chicken pox four years prior it must have lessened the shingles by residual immunity. Also my GP started in ophthalmology and not only recognised the disease from across her room but hooked me up with an eye specialist the next morning. No damage to my sight - huge relief. Fatigue lingered several weeks, an effect you’d hope to avoid with the vaccine.

From the list I've seen, I think the recipients are all deserving.

Yep.
As someone who has resided in country vic for over 40 years of my 50+ years, I don't share that view.

I've been golfing since I was a junior, having been a junior member at our local club. During the kid years, etc, I certainly didn't have the opportunity to play as often as I would like, but still had a hit from time to time. Now that I have a little bit more spare time on my hands, I've been getting back out on the greens again, just for a social hit, trying to get out every Monday.
Even as a junior, I was taught the etiquette of golf. Things like: don't stand close to someone in their line of view as they go to hit the ball, don't move in their field of view as they go to hit the ball, only enter and exit bunkers at their entry point, rake up your divots and foot marks after you've been in the bunker, leave the rake near the entry point, don't climb the face of the bunkers, replace your divots on the fairways (ok, this has changed over the years and now you just fill your divots with sand, not replace them), and don't run your buggy (the pull/push one, not the sit in drive type carts) over the greens. Over the last few weeks, I've been exacerbated by those who either don't know, or don't care, about these etiquettes. The disregard around bunkers being the most obvious one. Bunkers left in a mess. Footmarks indicating people are not entering and exiting at the entry point. Rakes being left on the face of the bunkers. Yesterday, with the morning dew still present around the course, the number of buggy marks across the greens was astounding. Clearly more than one golfer taking/driving their buggy across the greens. I've noticed that the newer buggies are self propelled and can be driven remotely. I wonder if it's just laziness (or perhaps even lack of fidelity in control), with this new technology that has the owner 'driving' their buggy over the greens? Whatever it is, there's a clear lack of consideration for others out on the greens these days.
