'69 Javelin:
Body mods: $0 .. I usually pick cars which look "unique" :nutsycuck enough as-is.
Wheels: $1000
Interior: $0
Stereo: $0 .. V8s should not have stereos
Engine: $0 .. in mods .. about $500 to repair clogged LPG converter. Does that count as a mod??
Transmission: -$0 .. it's a crappola M-11 BW .. drive it into the ground!!
Suspension: $0 .. I found some bushings from the parts I was given with the car!!
Brakes:- bout a $500 .. the non-vented discs were too thin for a roadworthy.
Exhaust: $0 .. it just won't rust out?!
Other: $75 .. for a gen-u-wine Yanky Trans-Am stainless steel chin spoiler .. which I promptly stuck into a gutter and bent. Doh!

I suppose I'll have to start spending some money soon ..

Rod.

Xa Gt coupe
So far about 80k plus the car but there is about 5k worth of parts that I have done again sitting in the corner .
This includes everything redone 393 stroker with alloy heads ,tko600 g/box ,panel paint ,wheels fuel,brake and exhaust systems interior carbon fibre custom bonnet etc.
The only thing original left on the car is the rear brakes .
So pricy because I had to start from scatch as all original Gt parts were taken out and off to make way for what the car is now
I have also just brought another Xa to use all the old gt parts on.

Around $4K, mostly engine mods but $110 for some new front grilles. Pay $200 a year for custom plates.

Still needs an edit, decent clutch, 3.7s and LSD.... and cosmetically, some ROH Mantis 18s in shadow chrome.

Tyres = $300-350 each
Wheels = $100 each (new)
Brakes = $350 (pads, lines and fluid)
Total = $2050
(For 1 lap I could've got away with just tyres at $1400)

That is the road car. The race car is turning in to a money pit.

Ive spent the best part of 55 g's on the XD with body, interior, motor's(there has been a few), gearboxes, diff's, brakes etc, thats since I bought it 13 years ago and spent roughly $7,000 on the XY Wagon just on the body, fuel tank/lines and part of the interior. Still have to paint it, re-wire it, get some more chrome bits, put it back together, build a new heart and soul, fit big fats under the back, then finish the custom interior thats going in.
I dont want to think about the cost but at a quick estimate I'd say around 100K and 10 years by the time its finished and a sh*t load of man hours.

my NC.........purchase price 3 and a half years ago - $5,000

im probably forgetting some things / ommiting dumb stuff, but

lowering - $350
wheels - $600
interior - $600
stereo - $2000
LTD stuff (grille, garnish, badge)- $350
custom headlights - $200
exhaust - $400
extractors - $800
3.45 LSD - $500
stall and shift kit - $650
347 stroker (just about finished) - $8,000

so .....$14,450... (19,450 inc purchase price - sheesh it sounds bad) and i havent finished yet!
plenty more mods after the stroker's in, though i would have to assume that will be the most expensive mod my car gets - unless it cops some unreal pantjob in the future....

Suspension - $150
Wheels - $0 (and damn proud of my 15s)
Stereo - $20 for an EF GLi tape deck. Butchered the loom & fitted myself
Transmission - $500ish on a BA shifter and $10 on a shift kit
Diff - $170, 4.11s
Engine - $400ish
Exhaust - $1100
Interior - $70 (some EBII stuff)

Stuff in cellar/bedroom yet to be fitted to car - $2300 :P

And those figures don't include stuff-ups, like the $150 3.9 diff (and cost $$$ trying to get it fitted) which turned out to be stuffed.

Hmm actually that above "total" of $2420 is sfa! And the grand poobah total of $4720 isn't bad, but I'll need to save up to have those bits fitted :evil3:
