My car is really feeling it bad! Usually a sunny day my reported Air Intake Temp, is around 30-35, today it's constant at about 65-70! Needless to say I burnt through my fuel too. Lest the Air Con was working!

It was 44 outside when i left work today. We don't have a/c in the workshop so I've got no idea how hot it was inside. I was tig welding and powder coating in that heat too.

Yeah I feel for the guys who are working outside. I work inside in pretty shitty conditions doing physical labour but i'm happy that at least i'm not outside. The only downside is regardless of the temp we still have the work.

was crappy at work today, bout 47 degrees in a factory with little insulation. Was bearable up till bout 2 o'clock, then i was pretty much sleep walking.

We have no shade in our car park at work either so at about 1:00 I ducked out to open the windows on the XR, opened the door and stuck my head inside and i reckon you could have roasted a chicken in the heat inside the car.

But i suppose thats the price you pay for buying a near black car. :p

The temp at home in the shade was 43 degrees at 1ish. id hate to see what it is at now. Glad im at work... aircon is pro, evap is on at home, atleast it keeps inside temps at about 25 - 28 degrees..... A mate who just started his apprenticeship as a boiler maker at the local power station said it was over 60degrees in the workshops at one stage yesterday! Reckons he was sweatin so much he looked like he just got out the shower

Yup this morning first thing wasnt too bad, we laid some concrete this morning and once the sun came up fully it went off in about 20 mins! Lucky it's only a base for paving, otherwise we would of been stuffed!

Not looking foreward to paving tomorrow, especially with that wind, it drives you mad. Another early day, hopefully something good on the telly

I am going to take the old surf ski that I used to use down the beach in Perth for a paddle on Lake Eildon shortly. I can see I am going to accidentally on purpose fall off and into the water quite a bit :-)

I feel sorry for the people that have to work outside in this heat, I used to have a job that was based outside doing labour work, not anymore, it's more relaxing and a much better job, I realise just how lucky I am, because it's dam hot and not getting better anytime soon.

A bit warm around the whole south east today, apparently 45 in Adelaide and the poor buggers are only expected to get down to 32 tonight before another string of near week long 40+ days.....

It is about 38c at Eildon at the moment, expected to get down to around 25 overnight... Heading out for a paddle on Lake Eildon this evening I reckon.

Really, really hope no serious fires break out in Adelaide or Victoria this week... I did my share of fire fighting in the ADF and it is the absolute pits. Hats off to those that volunteer with the CFA etc. They should get tax breaks after 10 years service I reckon or extra pension payments or something. You couldn't pay me enough to do it these days...

One of the guys at work has a black BF sedan for a work car. It was parked in the sun with the windows down. With the help of an accomplice he got the keys and opened it and I put the windows up.
He cottoned on to our evil scheme and came out and moved it into the shade anyway.
Mine got the shade from about 2pm and the sunshield on the windscreen, combined with tinted windows kept it reasonably cool. Had to turn the A/C off on the way home - gauge got to 80%. Then I stopped at the shops and knew the heat soak while parked would make it higher. Got in, fired it up and it started beeping - never got that before - it was in the red. The gauge does come back down once I cycle some water through.
