You would normally be going thru and agency, but due to the short supply the rate goes up. The market is flooded with mechanical draftsman.

True, then again, it can be the opposite. Like here, there aren't enough experienced architectural drafters.

Civil Designer here,
was a drafty but I climbed the ranks
You want to choose what discipline you want to work in first, whether its civil, mech, elec, structural and the list goes on, then contact the tafe campus that offers the subjects relevent to you. and as for 45/hr, thats money in the current market. Get onto some big mining projects (they can be boring) and the money can be huge, I had 2 drafties in Perth and they were both on 75-85/hr. no design skills at all. basically tracers. Civil is where the money is at. that and plant drafting, get onto Autoplant software and your set.

Another Printer here

Mostly magazine covers..... Street Machine, FHM, RALPH, Motor, Wheels, the list goes on, basicly all the mainstream mags

Oh and we do the FHM and Ralph calendars to...... it's a hard life :

We basicly will print anything though from kids tatoo's, plastic to foil board.

I run a speedmaster 10 colour perfector. It's worth about 4 to $5,000,000
It's not the most expensive press we have either!
