My Wife has an X5. 4.4 V8. It will outrun my EF any day of the week. It isn't exactly a sports car, but it is 'sporty' enough for her.

Mine's only an NA 6 (Dad wouldn't allow me to get the turbo at 21, despite his friends telling him I could more than handle it), but it has mods, a tune, and a few of the members here that have been in it or around when I've driven it know it goes pretty well.

I only had 2 stipulations when I went looking to buy.
1. It had to be manual.
2. It had to be Blueprint.

I've actually been told I should get rid of it, as guys find it intimidating and therefore I'm doomed to remain single. :

My mum (nearly 50 years old) has a heavily modified Subraru Liberty GT Wagon, Big single turbo conversion, cooler, autronic ecu, button clutch, straight cut gearbox, coilovers, big brakes etc. etc.

The thing absolutely hammers and she loves it.

Wife wanted a GT when we were looking for a update for her. She got the turbo which she is more than happy with. She is always going on about guys in XR6 NA and SV6's trying to give her a run, when they see a girl behind the wheel. She is more than happy to show them who is boss. :sm_headba

She also has the XY GS.

I have no issues with the wife who is into cars as it allows me to have my toys and it is never an issue.

My mum used to belt around in the old boys modded AU Forte V8. She loved it. Drove it harder then dad did.

She also never passes up and opportunity to drive my XR6.

My current 'flange' owns a blue N/A VL....I have plans to buy my mates old turbo kit on the cheap and throw it on for her one weekend without her knowing >=)

She'll be wondering where the turkeys under the bonnet came from! Bahaha.

on the topic aforementioned about women haggling/ballbusting my missus was satans' worst nightmare @ the wreckers this one day - I managed to break a tickford 5 spoke wheel off my AU xr6, so on the net i hopped and I found a place that had some, took the missus for the drive and we get there and out come the wheels, one was in really good condition while the other two they had were damaged, you know gutter scarred, guy gives the price of the scarred ones and the price of the good unscarred one (the difference would make your eyes pop really) he then continues on saying "the marked ones can be fixed and resprayed for $100" anybody who has done this knows this is absolute bullcrap anyway she pounced on him saying "well if they can be fixed for $100 the good one is worth no more than the scratched one plus $100" response was silence followed by "uh just let me get the manager" was so freaking funny - needless to say she haggled the price of this wheel down so hard it was ridiculous, almost got it for the asking price of the scuffed ones, and she gets in the car still fired up about how they are being scumbags and want way way too much for the wheels.

I thought it best to not speak.

When I first met my missus she was driving a 1.3lt Daihatsu charade. Was a big step up for her when she inhereted my xh ute (modded to 270hp). Then she got behind the wheel of the typhoon and now you should hear her complain when the outback 'doesn't overtake like it should!'

I think she was more upset about selling the ute and having to buy a 'safe' family car with no grunt than I was.

Missus wants an 4door pillarless impala. trying to talk het into a two door ss impala though. She would probably have one expect it won't fit down our side access to the shed (also which is would barely fit). lol.
She actually surprised me the other day when she said she'd like to drive a car that has excessive power so that she could basically smoke the wheels in all gears whenever she wanted.
She won't drive the XY though. lol. She see's how touchy it is and how much I have to man handle it, no power steering (she drives a Hyundai) and that I love the car as much as her. :togo:

A friend's ex-boyfriend was talking himself up about how his old Falcon had no power steering, was difficult to drive, and no one else could reverse park it because it was huge.

I asked how much he was willing to bet on that, and then put my hand out for the keys.
I drove it to our dinner venue and parallel parked it which floored him.

A couple of days later his girlfriend brought him past our bus depot and showed him what I drive for a living. He kept pretty quiet after that.

My partner Jen (who I think is the bomb) drives the AU Turbo day to day. And she gets the BA turbo when I am away or when she wants to go shopping in Dubbo, visit people in Sydney, to pick up horses with a float in QLD or go horse riding in the snowy mountains.

This is her flanked by some weird looking guy who was also at a resort. (He looks drunk to me)

This is her post 2 baby look, she is pregnant in this pic (I reckon she gets better and better) and the post 3 baby look is even better.

I reckon she looks hottest driving the BA - fast! She alse has learnt to service motorbikes, and check oil in all vehicles. She has just started going to the gun club and last shoot she put 100 rounds through a 12g shotty (she only weighs 50kg) so thats pretty big!. Love her to bits!

The other half was keen to buy a holden cruze, so I got her a brochure on the new FG. They might be out of her price by 10k but she is now very much ford orientated and hopefully won't buy a Holden! She wants a V8 but is too afraid of killing herself
