I think you're missing the point, its the LAST Monaro, finished, done, ca-put!
It could have only 26 KW's and people would pay big $$ for it.
Holden have made it clear that the Monaro is dead now so its an automatic collectable as the last one ever.
I bet who-ever buys it puts it on blocks and turns it into a museum piece.

Make that $500 000 and still rising.

Wonder how many of the bidders are legit and would have that sort of money or bidding just to say they have.

To the winning bidder, you'd want to hope it really IS the last one to be made. Recall a few years ago something being said about only a limited number of the Monaro being built. Nearly as common as the executive commodore here on the Gold Coast.

IMO there may be a substantial ammount of fake bids. Which is a dissapointment.

on the auction, where you see the last bidder, just above or below it'll say bidding history
click that and it will come up with a list of bidders

Sorry, over 2 mil. Surely people can't be serious. The car will never appreciate in Value.

Now its 4. Some people have too much money

I think it will go as high as 8 mil

I bet that never in their wildest dreams did they expect the price to get that high. If somebody genuinely bids and pays that price that will be amazing.

What a joke

So some one would rather own a Monaro than an Enzo Ferrari or

Bugatti Veyron that Can Hit 62 Mph In 2.5 Seconds.

This is just like the add on ebay about the 4 guys from sydney it was around $80,000 then dropped to $10,000 at near the end due to fake bids
