I think we are in a muscle car era now. The current models are the fastest, quickest, best handling and safest performance motor vehicles ever made in Australia. And that is both Holden AND Ford.

The is alleged bathurst model will be yet another great thing that Ford and FPV are doing for we the enthusiests of Australia. It will not last for ever, one day it will all be history....

The Cobra was split 50/50 between 302 & 351, so it is not "most" with the 302.

As for deposits on a HO coupe, people have had deposits on a new HO before, but they haven't appeared

i never said it was a HO coupe, that aside they are not story tellers, everything including a low mile HO in dads shed has been true.
I only hope they are right this time as well, strange they would pay out $60,000 odd to a trusted Ford Honcho on a whim and a prayer

There obviously telling stories this time. If Ford don't have the money to make Fairlanes and LTD's why would they have money to spend on another niche product like a coupe. :

Coupes only sell well for a year or two then sales drop off to nothing. Just like the XA-XC coupes, remembering Ford came up with the Cobra just to get rid of the remaining coupe shells. They know it would never sell in the numbers needed to make it work. Monaro didn't sell that well and was only worth it to Holden because they sold them to the US as the GTO, but even then they didn't sell in the numbers predicted.

Drove past Byrne Ford at Chermside two days ago and they had what looked to be a 40th Anniversary Gt sitting out the front on their corner display.

350!!!?????? They should make the model run either 302 or 351 to salute what propelled the supercars of yester year to victory.

It'd be nice to see a falcon bulge with the decal reading "BOSS 302"

It seems you weren't much impressed with anything. It's obvious the phoon wasn't in sports mode or sequential or you would have been impressed ... unless your drive car is a top fueler. And the ZF 6sp auto has been hailed as one of the best autos of all time. Of course the R & D engineers of other users such as Aston Martin, BMW and other european exotics could have made a mistake?
