I dont like the 300C. Nice engine (V8) on an old (but decent) Merc' platform, but its obvious that the styling is the polarising selling point for these. And I just dont like it (yes, odd coming from an AU fanboy).

Seen a nice 300C in a car yard at Cardiff last weekend. It had 22inch dub wheels, dub grille, exhaust, lowered and scissor doors. It was nice but the beast of a silverado next to it was tougher. It had a superchared 454, 39x15inch mickey thompsons, airbrushing and was lifted that much that the top of my head was level with the top of the tub and I am 6 foot 4. Would love to cruise around Newcastle in that thing.

this one is way from left field, but way back in the mid 70's i saw a car that i took an immediate liking (lusting?) to. it was based on a production car, but the version i saw, was Frank Garndener's racing Chev CORVAIR.
it dominated racing in aust sport sedans, and the rules were changed accordingly to ban it, but i loved the shape, even in standard production car form. if i never saw frank gardiners racing car, as a kid, maybe i would never have noticed it....later in life. (ie: this car made Ralph Nadar famous with his 'UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED' book about it)

I've been a fan of the 300C since first seeing one, just a big block of a car that has nice lines.
As for the Mopar statements. Mopar's are Gold and used to slap the bums of Ford's and Chevy's in the US... Man I want a 71 'Cuda so much!!!

taxi sales are the only thing that propped up au's.. oh xr and T series too..
Both the AU and 300c are polarising.. however i find a stock looking 300c still way better looking than a white au forte.. |

American styling at its finest....
Only way to make it worse is to fit a set of hectic 22" chromies |
