I like it but obviously it will never be something we can buy.

They might eventually bring in the Camaro or perhaps the Corvette to compete with the Mustang.

Nah, just Holden trying to steel some of the spotlight.
And maybe distract from recent bad publicity.
Leaking a few piccies costs them nothing but gets people talking.

So, what looks like an angled slab of concrete is considered good looking these days?

Pointless photos. Typical GMH.

talk about overreaction by some members here.
clearly NOT for production.

Jeez what's wrong with a bunch of engineers in their spare time putting something together like this? OK it isn't going to be made but it is a bit of a morale booster for them and a bit of fun.
Didn't the engineers at FPV have a few of these concepts going around too?

Yep, no different from the two Mad Max concepts from ford a while back...

I do remember however, that the VT monaro concept was a back room product with very little holden input...untill it stole the show...

Well it beats the election and the essendon scandal. Don't actually mind it. Keeps the the Monaro theme going.

I don't think so, considering they can't even come up with their own engines...

Not circumstances, but the USA parent company and the UAW are the 2 responsible bodies that killed Monaro.

I'd like to see Holden bring back the Torana...But I know that will never happen although there was a concept car wearing the Torana badge a few years ago.

Didn't Bob Lutz just reveal that the next generation Pontiac GTO had been planned? Maybe this was it? With Pontiac not being around, this car may not be viable anymore. But it looks damn good. Oh well, Australia should at least get the Camaro. I think the new Mustang will be better.

Ummmm, my first post.
Have not seen this new monaro yet, but if it is anything like the vx Model
Then I am more than still unimpressed. Lets face it making the front door larger and losing the back one on a commodore? What the hell? At least when ford re introduced the shelby, a whole new car in classic lines was born.

Monaro = 2-door version of a sedan.

HK Monaro, 2 door Kingswood...

but then...

HX Monaro, it had 4 doors...
