Clearly the Veyron is a supurbly engineered car, as seen when captain slow got it to the max 406 km/h without so much as a nervous sweat bead on his forehead. Now id like to see the look on the face of the driver behind wheel of the lotus at top speed. Might want to be wearing your adult diaper for that one. No doubt the accelaration off the line and wrapping it around some bending hills would be nothing short of orgasmic but there is no way anything near that top speed would feel remotely safe.

So an Exige costs about $150K AUD. How hard can it be to drop a chev in a Lotus. Surely not hard enough to justify a $450K+ premium.

I bet these are the same people who couldn't (on a fiscal and engineering level) understand why the W427 could have cost so much. They just "dropped a chev" into a Holden...
