I like fast Ford NA 6cylinder's & unfortunately stalker comments are in the threads I view about my chosen topic as a lot pay way to much attention on chasing Daz - just let it be and wait for him to run a 12
If you have a issue with a post please use the report button instead of clogging up threads with chasing Daz

Alot of guys with Jap cars out there tonight. I thought i might get a 14.4 in street spec with my new exhaust bits but my first run, a 14.6, turned out to be my fastest which was disappointing.
Sometimes i think anyone else would still be happy with the time given the mods, but oh well. |

Your PCM needs more time to adjust. Going by your previous mods and the time they took to show results at the strip.

A mate of mine George has a N/A XR6 (that dark nearly black red wine colour) with cat back exhaust (hitech) than ran 14.8, now has extractors not sure if he has run it. Amazing to think the numbers near standard cars are capable of.

14.5's again tonight but with a worse 60ft than what i did on the 14.6 run last week.
Someone hit the wall early in the night and towards 8:30 there was water/coolant spread right down the track so they put the burnouts on a bit early but there was only one run afterwards. |

took Pete's Big Banana out ( that sounds soooo wrong), day was cut short. which was fortunate, it was a very hot day and not much was making power during the day.
1st pass, 12psi, testing in full street trim (apart from slicks) leaving the light at idle, Pete is just still getting used to the car, so he is creeping up on it. 5500rpm shifts (6500rpm on dyno), the heat was really getting to the car it didn't like it. still ran an 11.99@127 2.18 60' driving off the line. 2nd pass, 12psi, pod filters off, still in the heat of the day. left on the transbrake 2500rpm, 1.86 60', short shifting at 5500rpm on the 2-3 shift, it broke the roller shaft, you can hear it on the video. cruised over the line with an 11.4@118, overall Pete is very very happy with how the car went. he has already got a replacement part and looks like we will be back out this Friday. here's a video of the passes and in-car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_S7rP4jTYE |

TTG ran a 12.265 with a 1.2 sec reaction time tonight. Chasin our previous personal best of 11.9 but haven't hit it yet. Good night out tonight, CV performance has their vt commodore out running 9's and even possibly an 8 on the last run, but left before we saw it. Ran 9.0's all night pretty much.

the big banana done everyone proud last night. 4000rpm launch off the converter, netted a 10.63@128.2mph (closed exhaust, ran 129.9mph open exhaust) with a 1.57 60'. he is going back out on Sunday, he can't get enough
12psi@6000rpm (6500rpm made max power) 1860kg/4100lbs |

9's definitely on the cards, Vince was out last night with a few other guys helping them out. he popped over to congratulate Pete, a 20psi tune is on the cards once Pete get's 100% completely comfortable with how it is. he want's a 9-sec pass, as the brother promised him he would paint the car again for free if he ran a 9 she might get too hot over 1000m, that intake manifold is a shocking design, it's a blower manifold and the thing heat's up like crazy and the car loses alot of power. |

video from the day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7DJY0wH88Y 1.53 60', still only revving to 6000rpm and exhaust closed (has a bi-modal type setup for street driving) has ran over 129mph both time's with the exhaust open, so be interesting to see what it does ET wise.

I should be heading out to see how the new/old car can go, fully standard 2008 BF XR6 Mk2.
My last outing in my old car gave me a 11.088 @131 mph, Im thinking I will be around 4 seconds slower, at least . If your there and see a short old guy cursing at a Vixen red falcon whilst eating donuts (ANDRA No 4682) say hi. |

What transmission is yours?
Drive got a 6 speed auto XT to go 14.5 iirc. XR will be a touch heavier so maybe 14.6 is achievable. |

Ive just services it so it will be a good base line to see what happens after doing a few basic mods like a exhaust and chip tune for the 98. |
