Organizing a cruise aint easy. Keeping everyone happy? Well that aint ever going to happen. I love the eseries cruises. When i first started going, it was 5-10 cars max. Now we have 50+, its a whole different kettle of fish. If you want to sook and whinge about it, make sure you have some constructive points and suggestions. Otherwise, just organize your own cruise!

Just wondering if you guys use UHF?.... we use them on all our club runs and its a great way to keep everybody together and help people who get lost/ stuck at traffic lights etc.......Also great fun just to chat while crusing.....Works a treat....

i reccomend the gme electrophone tx610. excelent cb, good range, and one of the best brands out there. $110 should cover one, with a pack of rechargable batteries.
sounds an excessive price, but you get what you pay for. anything with less than 1 watt of power, forget it

Got a great idea. Let's have a 50 car meet in the Coles carpark on Chapel. Only waiting you'll be doing is waiting for everyone else to get there.

so please let me know if its a prob jason

From half these comments you would think that they were paying to go on the cruise, and should have all their expectations met!
You can't satisfy everyone, they are run by volunteers (John and the rest of the boys), they try to do their best to accomodate everyone. Besides, if you were too bored at one of the stops, theres nothing stopping you from leaving? If you don't enjoy the cruise, just go home!

Also, I find the carpark stopping points to be pretty damn good! A chance to put faces to names, and check out each others' rides. Unfortunately it seemed like not enough time for me at the stopping points, coz I wanted to catch up with some mates but ran out of time due to catching up with others first. And at Moorabbin I left "early" coz I had a shift the next morning at work (dammit). I for one am very grateful for the cruise events which are organised. John: an idea for a future meet point: I noticed outside the Rod Laver Arena that there was an AU meet happening there (those of us who missed that turn at the arena saw them), there was enough parking space for about 50 of them! There were even a couple of avalons thrown in the mix, and the odd BA. :nutsycuck This thread is very damaging in regard to those reading this who did not attend friday's cruise, as it is simply not accurate. Go back to your Today Tonight traineeship if you want to develop slanted/miscontrued reports. And learn to make Naomi's coffee how she likes it, you little ИИИИИ. -Dave- |
