Reporting "scams" is one thing, but surely common sense over rides the need to report these scams in the first place, bid and win the auction maybe, but who buys a car site unseen and deposits money into an account without verifying and inspecting the car??? especially collectables..
I wouldnt hand over a cent without seeing the car first, and id hand over FULL payment only when i physically collected the car, and the transfer papers signed with clear title.....

I bought this
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...1/ffa4745a.jpg unseen a couple of years ago from South Africa . Now i know its not worth the same as what the cars over here fetch but for a lil under 4k i thought it was a good deal. I was in the market looking for one and after getting incontact with a GT enthusiast we found the right one. The entire deal was done by email and bank deposits. I know it was risky and it was a nervous few months but the day it arrived was a relief. These ebay's scam's are obvious fakes but believe me alot of people have bought SA GT's unseen. |

i have posted in the before and after's thread under show and shine what it looked like the day it came of the boat. It looked exactly the same as the photos i saw before buying it. I may have been lucky but these are the risks that come with importing a vechicle.

If you can email him enquiring about the car get his ip by using outlook and go into the details of the message. his ip will be displayed in the details. this site can help you determine which ip is his http://www.johnru.com/active-whois/trace-email.html
then when you have the ip just run a trace program like neotrace http://www.networkingfiles.com/PingF...aceexpress.htm To find where in the world he lives..this will only give you an indication where the as****e is from. A home address wont be displayed. |

I've traced an IP address attached to the email that "micheal stuart" sent me. It would appear that this grub doesn't live here or London.

Is that as accurate as you can get. Looks like he lives somewhere along route 66.

It has been pulled from E Bay finally. Someone posted their own listing saying it was a scam.
