Great day, about a dozen sub 11 second fords.
I ran a best of 14.22@98.3mph (2.15 60'), but the printer was jammed at that stage so I didn't get the timeslip out:
DYO comp cars was simply amazing, with 15 or so fast fords head to head.
DYO street cars was a little disappointing with only 3 of us lining up, I got a free entry to the final and I won by 0.07 seconds.

Thanks to the organisers it was a great day and great fun.

That looks like it was an awesome day! I wish I could have been there but I had some last minute problems.

First a mechanic wanted to see me to get my car roadworthied, I wasnt prepared to make him wait. The AU is now a RWC vehicle

And my Mickey thomspons fouled on my rear brake lines so they wouldnt fit on properly. Im getting some new braided lines and more appropriate fittings made up monday. The car should be seeing some more boost too before the AFF day. I cant wait to get out there to see what she can do.

How did the street cars go today?

What a top day, nice cruise up, some very nice aussie metal, cant help but be excited by the sights and sounds...........

Had to chuckle - racing alex on 2 or 3 occassions, i was actually sitting almost sideways watching him catch me through the top end.

It gave me a new found respect for these 290's. It was a while ago I drove Dons beast, watching alex's car creep closer and closer.........

Its a good thing for circuit boys that more GT's dont head down to the island, im sure there are a few XR8 and LS1 owners know that already!!

The purple slymachine managed a 13.19 with a 2.04 60. Middle of the day, not ideal conditions for a number, but a first for 260's at heathcote anyway. Cant wait for the forums meet.

The slowest was a 13.32 after turning the MT's into smoke.

Alex, mate all I can say is that im glad the quarter mile is just a quarter. :

Yeah it should as Rod has proved it.But i suppose we race for ET's and those who set up there cars for it get the times.I just go out for a bit of a play and am pretty lucky that my BOSS performs like it does with my mods.112 MPH well i am excited would of been good too see a 12 though. :ticking:
