fun police refering to people of the public complaining about others having fun!!

Cops in ACT are very supportive with summerntas from what I've seen, but if people break the law they get punished. And I don't think they line up to defect cars like they do elsewhere, unless you're driving something ridiculous, or hooning on public roads.

2nd- I did not complain about it "being an event". I merely extended my opinion that the "event is a pointless waste of time and money" that does nothing more than re-enforce the bad rep that genuine street car enthusiastic have had to endure for years, thanks to those that are unable or unwilling to spend money on making their car "the best it can be", preferring to waste money on tyres with the SOLE PURPOSE of creating smoke?

3rd- Your comment "I would rather see a ****** box with a big V8 doing a burnout than a fully restored car that cost $100000 to restore sit in the garage doing nothing" tell's me a lot about you.... You obviously have the funds to purchase the crap tyres you require to do your "much loved burnouts" but not the tenacity, funds, or commitment to your preferred brand of car to bring a classic back from deaths door? Ford fan? I think not?

In conclusion, I have been to many Summernats(6) and other race meetings.
You've already embarrassed yourself with idiotic comments, maybe you should refrain in future so people will just think your an idiot and not have it confirmed with dribble like this above post.

Socket doesn't fit
Might seem like a dumb question but what do you do when the socket you have isn't deep enough to clear the end of a sensor plug, and you don't have enough room to get a spanner in there?

The socket I have just isn't deep enough to get down to the actual head of the sensor. Its a few mm short.

Can you buy deeper sockets?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recall the above post Bossxr8? Who's an idiot or embarrassed (using your own words) now? Perhaps your "socket" just doesn't have capacity to go "deep enough"?

Thankyou,

Was built as my daily with 1/4 mile in mind but the track got closed for ages so I decided to have some fun another way.
Great family environment at this event also

Only had 207rwkw but ran consistent 12.0's 114mph through a 4200 Hi-stall.
Punched on well above her weight class and was very good at Dial-Your-Own.
I suppose I am a tool for warming the BF drag radials up before launch also

Now I am dribbling....this car makes me do so very easily

Sorry, just a non bias car lover here!

Although I don't see the fun in burnouts if someone wants to do burnouts this is the right way to do it. it is in a safe controlled environment it is legal and you don't run the risk of running some kid over who is crossing the road. this is the responsible burnout

Seeing as though you have thought this out so much, did you think about the positives? Did you take note on what the event does for local businesses in Canberra? It brings in hundreds of thousands of dollars!

http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-...206-1uut3.html

"Tourism Minister Andrew Barr said the Government was committed to keeping the festival in Canberra, and said the event made a huge contribution to the territory's tourism revenue. The event remains one of the ACT's few tourism drawcards, and provides a major revenue injection as tens of thousands of car enthusiasts descend on Canberra"

They are even trying to make it more family friendly! The strip show was cancelled along with the wet t-shirt comp.
What more do you want mate?
