The time we did skids was on a private road in the country it was a hot day and the worst the temp got was just over half way.We went through 7 sets of stockies in a 6 hour period with some orsome video footage..MY el ghia v8 manual goes great for how it gets driven...I change the oil every 7000ks because i drive it hard and i never have to lift the bonnet even after doing skids all day...i thought it would heat up in temp but it just sat just over half even with it a 6 grand at one stage we where destroying tyres quicker then it took to change them...

I say keep the e series going as long as you can, these b series seem to have more problems than EA's did!

my car is an 88 EA with LSD, done 166,000ks, the whole drive line is running along great!

had mine rebuilt by preston autos and diffs, did the 2 week run in, died, got it rebuilt again, did the 2 week run it, died. preston autos and diffs ftl!

my new diff died friday on the way to work.....havent even thrashed this one.....:(....... might be time to give up on LSD's and get a lokka.....
reckon i'll give an LSD 1 more go though

mate, ive done nothing to it at all, fitting it or driving it. i fitted it at waynes place, with his help. ......ive not given it a hard time at all.....i know it was sweet - thats why i bought it, and it has been sweet up untill this week when all hell broke loose......
i do not know what has happened to it, however im not blaming anyone..... just disappointed its happened....
