How much would he cost the tax payer if he incapacitated himself? Would his family be happy that he did not hurt anyone else even though he's fatal to himself?

Perhaps you should have included a no politics clause if you're that sensitive.
Rather than create a tit for tat my politician is a big tool than your's - maybe we can keep politics out. Otherwise there is one direction for this thread.

Just read the blurb and have ordered this film . There is a problem with the timeline however , it should read they were put into suspended animation in 1514 and were just revived now . We ARE there NOW sadly .

Why am I not allowed to put forward this opposing point of view? How does this offend you? Maybe you are up for nomination on a thread somewhere and need to advance your cause with inarticulate ramblings...

Why, the site terms and conditions already state it

Probably cost no more than a footballer who breaks their back a french yachtsman who needs rescuing by our navy or the drunk driver who puts someone in a wheelchair forever.
Down deep I agree with you, uncontrolled situation doing something daring. But I don't want to live in the nanny state where its people are scared to do anything interesting. He didnt crash or kill anyone, I assume he assessed the risk around him at the time and pulled the stunt off with aplomb. As for dying, he might have died doing what he loved, and our society finds that heroic!

Because this man below has fair well built upon my musings in a manner far more articulate than my own.

If this guy was a precision driving "daredevil", doing this at your local show on a bumpy football oval or worse, no one would give two f's, they'd even applaud him. News media can go screw itself, bring us more stories of Good Samaritans catching cats from drainpipes.

I nominate a Judge here in WA that just sentenced a low life piece of scum, who's only contribution to society was to breed 5 kids, to a mere 11 years in prison.

Now this guy (who has never held a license) stole an FJ Cruiser and got chased by Police who aborted, was tracked by Polair, went through a red light camera at 170 (still not being chased on the ground), then goes wrong side of the road, continues on, then goes through a red light and T bones a Taxi killing the driver and occupant who he'd just picked up from the air port.

Now this passenger was some sort of genius from the UK and was a doctor of quantum physics at Imperial College London. A worthy human being. The taxi driver was just trying to earn a living to support his family, another worthy human being.

Scum bag was off his face on dope and meth, and when they were cutting him out said "I wasn't driving". In Court he said his intention was not to kill someone. Well what did he think would happen going through a red light at over 100Km/h?
The judge even said it was almost inevitable Fogarty was going to collide with another car, and his offences 'fall into the category of the worst cases'.
So gives him 11 years. Should have been 11 years for each life.
Absolutely outrageous sentence.

Sensitivity has nothing to do with it.

Blind Freddy can see that this blokes guilty as sin, just look at his track record. But they do say love is blind.

I think the true nanny is the ultra conservative right wing wowser puritan who wont stand for anyone having any fun for the fear it might remind them where they left the carrot?

The poor hippie gets a poor deal in all this negative use of their descriptor!

Extreme socialists do exactly the same - all in the name of the common good. You'll find their toleration of individuality is zero and is met with a piece of lead entering the cranium @ +1000 ft/second.
