XB GT, matching no's, in need of resto $15k/ish - perhaps a little more depending on originality of wheels and interior etc.

Car has some good options, and a rarer colour, but on the downside, being a 76 model it will be riddled with pollution gear and have the small port auto motor. she would have had the FMX auto as standard, the c6 is a big block auto, if it has a c-series auto, it would most likely be a v8 C4 auto. (C10 if you come from Victoria) LOL

Without pics or an overall look at the state of the car, and it's bits and peices, I would agree that 15k would be in the vicinity of the right $$. Providing it's 3 numbers matching, with correct casting dates and correct body shell etc.

Dosn't matter if it's a xb falc 500 or a XA GTHO Phase 4, they all still cost an arm and a leg to restore correctly, and these days people who restore good genuine GT's don't shy away from resto costs over and above 50k to 100k.

What would a pre ADR 27A XB in similar condition, but with big port 4V heads and C4 be worth?

you couldnt get an auto xbgt with 4v heads, only 211 '73' xbgt's got the 4V heads and came with a top loader, which makes them rarer and more desirable to some. A local guy just bought one (yellow) and paid 40 i think, full restored car and goes very well too

Going through AMC issue 26 about the XB GTs. page 47 has a colour list with all the xb hardtops and sedans made to each colour. There were only 5 sedans made in a colour called Sogo Port Wine (paint code-Y376) , and 2 hardtops and 3 Sedans for a total of 5 made in Yellow sand (paint code-A)

4 xbs were made in rothmans blue (Y113) - according to document in AMC.

Going on prices a Pepper Red XBGT 74 sold for 55k a month ago and a Mullberry XBGT auto sold for 55K aswell.I would say that local guy got a bargain but then again the colour may of been it's downfall that's why it only went for 40k.Certain options also play a major part especially factory sunroofs.Auto 73's XBGT's also had a ADR26 engine which was exactly the same as the XA GT small port 4V engines.I would determine price on how good the body is on any GT before most options ect...........

Just a FYI - we got $35k for our Yellow Blaze 11/73 XB GT sedan a few weeks ago - comprehensive restoration, original motor (big port US motor), missing a few bits and pieces such as wheel trims, wheelarch moulds, original carb/manifold.

Yes, I was going to mention yours Squalo.
Whilst missing some bits it was very much an original, and an early XB.
Some other prices mentioned here seem a little far fetched......
See http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=80602 for thread on Squalos XB.

rothmans is one of 5 sedans, they made no coupes in xb's for that colour.

all the numbers are there.

i'd say 25k going on what you have said.... depends who wants what though.

Body prefix # JG33SA82512k
ID PLATE JG33SA82512K
Rothmans mettallic blue
engine code "T" 351 4v
produced on the 3rd of March 1976
Electric windows
sunroof
airconditioning
3 speed C6 tbar auto trans
cloth insert option
brown interior trim

body is in excellent condition, minor rust on bottom of driver and passenger doors, one dent in drivers rear quarter panel and one in the tail of the boot.

Soooo can anyone help me out with an approximate value???
From Factory it should have an FMX Auto, I sold mine about 10 years ago, I still regret it as I sold it for $4000 (non original engine) mine had black interior with cloth inserts, Factory roof, Air, electric windows, 4wheels disc brakes, but the body was pretty average, I would love to know where it is now (was sold in Melbourne).
Here are some pics.

Cheers

Someone had fun ticking the option boxes on that one. About the only thing that's missing is the front quarter windows, not that you'd want them.

And also on the front face of the cyliner head top outside top edges are the No's

Yes. My mates dad ordered a brand new fully optioned BA GTP before they were released in Congo Green with silver stripes. It was the only FPV made in that color before it was discontinued. It has since been sold. Its engine was one of the early oil burners and the 5 speed manual box wasn't too good but may have been worth someone one day being the only one in that color.
