Saw the 12.000 with my own eyes and gee it looked good on the scoreboard. Sounded like it hit the limiter on the 1 - 2 though Chris so it will for sure run that 11 next time. The air was killer too. Well done mate can't wait till next week now.

Im awake now, I'll give you guys some details.

run 1 - 12.08
run 2 - 12.19
run 3 - 12.000
run 4 - 12.01
run 5 - 12.11

I have no excuses, track was great, air was nice, meeting went smoothly.

Car details -
slicks and frontrunners
race only exhaust system
tailgate removed.

We had an exhaust issue before we left to go to calder, Leo (ORSMT6) gave me a hand to remove and re fit my new "race" exhaust, before and after dyno sheets were dissapointing. We lost 5rwkw right through the range.

The race system needs mufflers - I used 2 pipes and 2 45's. sounds great on the incar video, but I feel it let me down, but I cant be a dick and say it cost me an 11, because it wasn't meant to be, even though it was a power loss, im not sure 5rwkw affects these big beasts much anyhow.

Honestly, a '20 would have been acceptable, maybe even a high teen. I didn't expect to run three 12.0's and two 12.1's. As Chris (ORSMXR) said, there were indeed some guys making accusations of NOS - I even let them pull the lid off my airbox, and jack the car up and look right through the interior. But, they were all LS1 guys so what the hey!!

On a more personal note, early monday morning I recieved some tragic news that one of my best buddies Andrew had passed away (choking as I type this)

Andrew, apart from being a great personal friend was also an integral part of my R and D team in editing falcons, with his 347 stroker and his XR6T. His death has hit me harder than a mack truck, and for the people on here who know me and have spoken to me this week, I apologise for being a wreck (still choking).

My last words to Andrew were regarding the performance of these falcons, and through adversisty he still managed to crack a smile and tell me to pull my finger out and keep giving it to the LS1's.

My dad and I ran through a really tough week putting a new drivetrain combo for the falcon this week - Dave, our in-house auto guru smashed together a gun auto, and the new diff combo from dad and the boys did them proud.

Id like to thank all the boys in our shop - I offered them a paid week off bereavement but like Andrew would have wanted went about their work staying occupied with one thing on their mind - the Boss. Thanks guys for being soldiers.

And thanks to all the forum guys, a of a week, and you guys have all been like brothers to me. We have to bury Andrew next tuesday, so next friday night at calder, expect fireworks.

Cheers

Chris

After speaking to you through the week and hearing the news and how much it has hit you, you have done extremely well to get straight back out there, and I'm sure Andrew is proud of you for what you have acheived.
