Okay, firstly i found a site that said "For all FORD / HONDA / MAZDA / MITSUBISHI Models (Thread Diameter: 14mm x 1.5mm)"

Although i highly doubt that all these makers use the same Oil drain plug?...although at the same time see sense to it!

On the link you posted gilmore, It says the 6cyl 4l requires the 12mm-1.5

But

If you scroll further down it says the 4.0 L requires 14mm-1.5

Strange?

Ok, well I've heard back from the guys at Southside Ford...

They reckon it should be 12mm by 1.75mm!!! Which isn't an option for me to choose!

This only muddies the waters further....

Just heard back from Etheridge - they can't say 100%, but they reckon it should be the 14mm x 1.5mm. I think I'll just order that one and hope it's the right one!

Found this on a sit:

This Magnetic Sump Plug Will fit following Car model :
All FORD cars (M14x1.5)
Mondeo, Escape , Falcon, Focus..etc

The bolt diameter is measured from the total thread diameter, so going on GKs measurements, the 14 x 1.5 is what you need, and the above seems to corroborate that.

Will the M14x1.5 fit the au t3 sump?

Cheers,
