Great pics mate, thanks for sharing. For the record, I can stare at people's labours of love all day and appreciate them for what they are. There are crazy amounts of hours and money go into these things. And they'll always draw criticism because they involve peoples personal tastes, which are obviously subjective. (I can stare at big breasted women all day too fyi, regardless of fashion or hair colour )

Thanks for the pics.
Some truly sensational cars but I’m showing my age by missing the point of the over the top big diameter rims on almost all the early girls. |

I think I'm done with "summernats cars" I prefer them to be more organic and less perfect kind of the same way I prefer real boobs to bolt ons

Great pictures, each to their own but I just cant look at classics with 20" rims anymore...worse still when they add red / blue / pink walling.
Funny how you change over the years I use to love this sort of stuff 10 years ago. |

Love the pics, thanks for sharing. What's up with that Commodore with the smashed boot. Did it hit the wall during the burn out comp?

Agree with rim comments and there is a definite big blower theme, they seem to be trying hard to out do the car next door.

At the Nats you've got to be blown to be known. Rim don't bother me some can look nice others just shouldn't be on there.

What i can't handle at summernats is the amount of people wiping the dust off their cars and scratching the crap out of the paint. News flash, microfibre cloths with water doesnt stop the dust scratching the paint. So many gorgeous paintwork jobs ruined every summernats.
Looking forward to heading there tomorrow, Sunday is always the best day, finals of most things and only $55. Also everyone doing burnouts on Tuff Street at the end of the day because they don't care about being kicked out. |

Great pics,great post.
My 2 cents worth in no particular order: That green SLR 5000 at the drags looks magnificent. The HQ Monaro with the sideways opening boot lid-I understand the workmanship bit but seriously, what's the point of it? I'm disappointed to see that the trend of manufactured patina still exists....
