the follow me home lights will work on the fiesta too, just flick the high beams after key off.
17's will make the speedo more accurate too, eg. now with 17's 100kmh is actually 98kmh

Just stay within whatever legal limits apply to your state and perhaps do a run with a GPS to see the change and make a mental note. There are a heap of online 'tyre size calculators' around... the most common one is in a Miata website if memory serves... put in some figures and see the %age difference.

I'm assuming the car will have more grip with 17" and corner better?
17" won't rub when i go over speeds bumps? I had this on a Vauxhall in England and it drove me mad. I'm still searching for some Alloys but haven't found anything yet, i'll post some pictures when i decide |

Corner better? Perhaps, but not necessarily! Same with grip levels.. depends on brand and how they are set up for the car.
For rubbing, just look at what others have done in terms of offset and tyre size and stick with that. Was 17's an option??

I'll stick to what Ebv8 has.
17x7.5 with 205/40r17 I'm doing some searching online, can anyone suggest a good website for alloy wheels or maybe a local shop in Brisbane? |

If your overall size, wheel and tyre, is the same your reading should be the same.
I would use a GPS to test out your speed now and then after. You might even find that your change makes everything more accurate as the speedos are woefully out from the factory. |

Ok sweet.
I'm looking for some white alloys but haven't had much luck yet. I've found LOADS on the UK websites. I really like: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy.../white/17-inch in white or gun gray. I'll go and find some local shops this afternoon. If anyone else wants to suggest some wheels that might look nice please do. I love seeing other peoples opinion |

Ford customer support phoned me today informing me the Accessory delay is a feature that can be added to any NEW fiesta.
So even though two FORd service centers refused to help me she is now looking into why. If it's a simple as plugging in a PC and turning it on i'll look into doing it myself. Will keep everyone posted! |
