Yes my springs have settled in nicely now. They did drop about another quarter to half inch more after about 1-2weeks. I did find the springs hardened up a fraction too, like they became a little firmer. But still softer than Kings. No need to get guards rolled. I run 18x8's with 235's all round and have no problems. In saying that, with my negative camber on the front, the tires arent as close to the outer guard as they would be with a 0 camber. I'll take some pics. Bear with me.

Sounds like Koni Yellows for the win......might have to find that extra $140....although saying that, just bought a replacement amplifier and saved myself $160 as it turned out it was a clearance item!!! So there you go!!!

Just checked my own records for part numbers which I keep in an exercise book, but also rang Toperformance (Vermont, VIC) to confirm:
Koni Yellows to suit AU with IRS: (f) 8241-1166 SP1 (r) 8241-1167 Sport Hope this helps, -Craig |

Sorry guys!
Firstly, my apologies on the delay in the response! Got called into work on Wednesday, so I wasn't able to pick them up until Thursday. Koni Yellows for $700!!! Part numbers: Fronts: K8241-1166SPORT Rears: K8041-1067SP1 I cross-checked these on the Koni website to make sure they're the right ones! WHERE DID I GET THEM A couple of others have mentioned them in this and other threads.....but this is the place: GT Suspension 137 Mt. Alexander Road Flemington VIC 3031 Phone - (03) 9376 0777 As I wrote in the original post, went down there on Monday to see Ange (owner) to suss them out and see what the deal was, if they'd fallen off the back of a truck etc etc! Found Ange to be more than helpful, he answered all my 'uninformed' questions, and was kind enough to give me a bit of a background lesson on various things suspension-wise. Very genuine bloke - never got the feeling that he was just after my money! Overall was very happy with the purchase and the impression I got from Ange and his store. I will definately be taking my car back there to have the shocks fitted with the Eibach's I'm going to get (once they arrive) - was quoted $280 to fit everything, and that price includes a wheel alignment. IF YOU GUYS WANT SOME: No group buy is in the pipeline, however he has plenty of them in stock, so just give him a call! Prices - to suit AU Falcon (live axle rear) $560 - Koni Reds front / Koni Yellows rear $700 - Koni Yellows all around NOTE - THESE PRICES ARE CASH ONLY!!! Not sure what the situation is for paying by credit or eftpos, he only mentioned cash, and that was fine by me! He said they didn't have any Koni Reds rears in stock, although I imagine if they got some in, the price for Koni Reds all around would be somewhat less than the $560 for the red / yellow combo. For AU's with IRS, they have some rear yellows in stock as well (mik got his from here as well) - not sure whether it's the same price, just ask! Not sure about what they would do for postage (for you interstaters), but again I'm sure if you ring and ask, you'll find out what you need to know! Say that Dave from the AU Falcon club referred you! Quote:
Probably worth a call if you're after anything suspension wise - saw a lot of boxes for Whiteline sway bars, Lovells springs, Koni's......there were Boge posters, Bilstein ads etc.....they probably have a lot of high-end stuff there!

Thats great to hear Dave, congrats on the purchase and thanks for the info. These guys will no doubt be busier with cash prices like this.
If I could do it all again, and known about these prices, I would have followed you! lol Hanging to see what the car looks like now with the new setup fitted.

Spewin! I bought koni red's for my EL just before christmas for $600 from the same place. If I knew I could've grabbed yellows for $100 more I would have bought them in a heart beat.
You definitely made the right choice. And that $280 is well worth it for the installation and alignment. Last edited by MAD; 22-05-2009 at 04:21 PM. |
