SE QLD Sunday Drive

Yeah, I figured it would be ok - it is enclosed and well installed. I was pretty sure that it was legal as per current regulations, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with installing it.

I'd just heard some interesting stories about some questionable defects etc issued at the Spit and Gold Coast in general. I figure this is probably more to do with the personality of the driver (i.e. the bigger the aggressive douche you are, the higher likelihood of getting a fine) but just wanted to confirm.

I've heard of some pretty funny ones, like having too sharp a rear spoiler (a mate's old 180SX) or having no gear pattern on the gearstick (old restored Datto 1600). I'm just paranoid is all ;)

On paper, no. But in reality you could, I mean in the unlikely and unfortunate event of slashed tyres, I think our Fiestas could have a chance! Haha kidding.

Be great to get a mix of Euro Ford drivers, Focus, Fiesta, Mondeo, they're all great in my eyes.

My Missus is the other way around, she has already sat in one, now she wants me to get her one in black. Normally i would - but im more inclined to get a Fiesta Zetec TDCi for her due to running costs and maintenance. I know the XR5 would do 9-11km/100. Tyres are roughly 150-200 depending on what brand and performance you get, servicing i can only imagine be about 300+, insurance is expensive......then theres me.....i know ill want to modify the car, at least very bare minimum - DS, ECU spacer, and K&N air filter. hahaha then the issue would be i would want to drive it more than her! and that cant happen haha...

Lesson of the story, Becarefull what you wish for... lol.
