Well, seeing as I love HQ's and Mustangs, this really hits the spot for me. Its something I could very easily live with in the back shed.

Mixing them just made something hideous. Here's another for keeping the vehicles separate as they should have been, before that monstrosity was created.

Not outraged, but more "why?" than anything else...

The whole idea is kinda lost with the american front and the aussie rear... its not really a true representation of our Australian Ford vs Holden battle.

But I do appreciate the amount of work that has gone into it. It certainly wasn't some quick cut and paste job.

you gotta remember its in nz, its not so much oz ford vs oz holden, but simply ford vs holden.
old yank steel is a lot more popular back home, and a hell of a lot of the big dollar builds are american cars, not oz. nz simply dosnt have the supply of good old oz fords and holdens.

on that note, anyone know a radio station in brisbane that plays similar music to the rock? im sick of listening to the dribble that comes from the likes of b105...

I don't like it. It's not because it's a Folden. It's simply because the lines don't flow with a curvey front end and boxy rear.

Just got to wonder why pick a 4 door body to graft the front onto??? :
You would think that if they really had to do it, that a 2 door Monaro shell would have looked a whole lot better????????????????? :alien2: : :

because there is no real difference between any holden 4 door and 2 door except the hatch torana. all of the 2 door monaro's look just like taxi's with the rear doors welded up

and a 4 door would probably have been much cheaper as well

My first thought was "Sacrilege, how can they do that!!!"

The workmanship looks great however, a heap of effort must have gone into it. Probably one of the better transplants I've seen.

I think the ridge running along the top of the front guard leading to the headlight is a bit much. If that profile was lowered so the top of the guard tapered down to the light would have suited better.

just reafirms my opinions from 20 years ago. you can chuck ford stuff on a holden till the cows come home. end of the day...`folden`goes hard because it`s "powered by ford". probably got a 9" as well. looks pretty stupid IMO ?

Looks awesome, the lines, the curves, the great detail; even the little collars on it. The shoes are a bit wrong and the earings are a little over the top but overall very nice.

As for the car, what an ugly looking piece of crap. Then again, in NZ they think sheep are attractive so each to their own I guess.

As a radio stunt, in my book, it doesn't look too bad. Good provocative build to gain the attention it was built for.

A two door HQ shell was obviously too hard or too costly to source in NZ, though the concept would have flowed a lot more smoothly if it was a two door.

The bids it is attracting, though are mind boggling.

I think it looks OK, although, people have been grafting cars together for years.

I think Red does a pretty good job of making two cars into one.

I’m thinking of ordering a custom build by him, I just can’t decide on which colours to go with.

Clearly they have far too much time in NZ! There has been a lot of effort go into this, but there is something very wrong about this project!!

I thought a "folden" was a 250 xflow head mounted backward to a 202 block, that is just wrong like angelina jolie's face on casey donovan.

The listeners got to vote for the front end and the back end, But they had to be either ford or Holden, I reckon it would look much better with a monaro rear as the long mustang guards dont match well with the four door body

Same as falcon coupes then?
falcons with Torino styling?

A good effort I guess, looks a little odd.

you must be confusing me with a holden fan if you think i do not realise my car's design came from america

an xa-xc coupe is totally different to an xa-xc sedan. take a look at one from the side and you will see what i mean. roof line, quarters rear panels that are totally unique to the coupe and cannot be mistaken

a charger is the same in this respect

take a look at an lc-lj torana, any monaro, the xm-xp coupe, the chrysler coupes and you may notice that there isn't much difference from the side. a non car enthusiast may not even pick the difference from 50 metres - with an xa-xc coupe or a charger the difference is obvious - no matter how far away you are
