Thanks mate! To be honest mixing it with working fulltime does make it hard, but oh so worth it!

The smiles I get everyday from him are the best part of my day, everyday!

Geelong winning the 2011 Premiership. My old man and I were rapt - he doesn't get excited by much, but it was great to see him happy (for once)...
Made the Best and Fairest a lot more enjoyable too.

Probably applying for and getting accepted into uni, then finally quitting my rubbish job of 3.5 years, then meeting Jess, my girlfriend. All pretty good points in a not so awesome year.

Year started well with a promotion at work. Went down hill mid year, lost my grandfather to cancer and 3 weeks later was made redundant.

Still out of work and job hunting at the present.

Highlight would be the cats gf win, being at the G and then celebrating in Geelong afterwards.

Tough year and hoping for a better 2012

Buying my first V8 - A Clevo of course!

Second would easily be the Cats winning the GF.

Third would be seeing Blind Guardian live.

Having my eldest Son home from Seattle USA for Christmas.
Christmas 2005 was the last time we had both our boys home together.
Pick him and his Girlfriend up at the airport on the Dec. 23rd.
Short lived he flies back on Jan 3rd, now that's a sad day for me but that will have to wait till next years thread.

For me, it was finding out that my wife is pregnant with our first, along with the 12 and 20 weeks scans showing that everything is progressing as normal.

i would be happy to be in your position. I would love to have an interest in the grand final just once - haven't cared about one in 43 finals

and in my life time, in finals alone geelong have beaten us by much more than 119 points. actually 1992 accounted for 128 points. i am envious of your teams success

2011 will probably go down as the year of the most change in my life, with many memorable moments.
After getting married (for the 2nd time) in late 2009, this year I sold my house and my new wifes house, bought land and built my 1st ever brand new home, with all now settled and in new home for 4 weeks now.
Also parted with my BF F6 and became FPV-less, buying a 370Z roadster for the Mrs. and me "down-grading" to a XR50 turbo ute. Both turned out to be great decisions with the XR50 being probably the best "new" Ford I've ever owned.
On the family front my son turned 21 this year and now having both my kids over 21 + me turning 55 has brought me to the realisation that I'm getting bloody "old"!
This was exemplified when I went to a mates funeral that I'd grown up with, and all the guys there that I'd knocked around with years ago had gone grey or bald and looked like old farts!

I think seeing the floods on tv, then seeing you QLD boys band together to help. Really made me proud of you guys and what Australia stands for.

Too often we hear of the bad stuff that happens, so to see stuff like that really made me happy

Escaped the clutches of a very mean boss and transferred to another department.

Got engaged and picked up my FPV F6 a week later

This year has been one I won't soon forget in a hurry (not for lack of trying)...

The best and worst of 2011 all came in one package unfortunately, the karma train finally arrived for a man who ruined not only my teenage years, but that of 6 other young girls...sixteen years after the fact he will stand trial on all counts. It's a small victory so far and one that has taken a significant emotional toll on not only me but my family and my partner, but one that I hope will make 2012 a lot brighter and positive, after all, it can only get better from here.

so finding out I was ACTUALLY going to be eligible to graduate after being messed around by admin was probably a highlight.
And being selected as the Awards Coordinator for Vic State Girl Guides was pretty swell...
