Doesn't make sense- they are working on ways to detect subterranian water so they can use the technology on mars. The moon is about 2 years closer for testing.

crikey it's amazing . i've watched thios on tv on my computer . however never saw anything . i guess the super computers will now work everything out . i'm privelaged and let down at the same time .

well it does kind of put all the UFO , conspiracy theories to bed . youtube has nasa videos of orbs and ufos following around the space shuttle , shooting down military jets etc etc .
and here we just watched a milestone from about 5000kms off the surface of the moon to ground zero at 2.5kms a second weighing 2 tonnes . and not one UFO came into the scene to scan the missile , hmmmmm .

Haven't you seen the hundreds of meteor craters on the moon?

I don't think a tiny rocket will come anywhere near the impact of some of the meteors that created some of those massive craters.

Conspiracy theory - Aliens were on the moon checking out our landing sites and technology so we shot a missile at them to scare them away.

I know everyone that watched it, said that it was a small impact, bit of a fizzle, but it did happen.
It will take a few days to check over the data.
