A little surprised Ford still isn't going to give this V8 direct injection. Perhaps the benefit still isn't significant enough. I hope that if it does achieve the 600HP that we are expecting, that the GT500 will offer a supercharged version of the same engine with at least 800HP.

I think the direct injection has already been developed, it's just been held back for engine costs. It's definately ready in the head casting.

Flat plane crank for Voodoo is nonsense- the car sounds like a cross plane V8 in every video. A flat plane crank sounds like a high revving 4 cylinder and this is nothing like that.

You would bother with the na if you have a 335 and power is your goal.
This sound like my dream engine...that's some decent hp NA! I reckon HP1 might mean there will be different levels of tune. Could they not turbo voodoo and then it's called hp2 etc.
