Well done mate, congratulations on taking out Grand Champion, even though you have to share your win with Gary Myers. Think the a couple judges really wanted Gary Myers to win from what I've heard, and did everyting to try make it happen. Well done, awesome car!!

Thanks for all your great reply,s people,, it was a great thing to achieve, and was really our goal for the weekend
I now have the Australia,s best ford title(from the holden/ford show nationals) and the grand champion,, plus around 60 other trophies from 7 shows,, not a bad effort for 6 months of the car being done

AUGZMK you hit the nail on the head,, I just happened to upset the big guys!!!

Yeah Rock Solid. Was an XA I think. Light blue with graphics. My memory is a bit off. I think Rock Solid was for sale years ago, or it was up as a part of a raffle? Can't remember which it was, but I fairly well remember the car. He also built Chic Henry's Jelly bean car I think. He has a few other memorable efforts. Haven't heard much of Howard of late.

Anyway, congratulations on a brilliant job. Well done

I think that purple coupe is owned by Chris from Revaltion Race Supplies in Wollongong. So your the same guy that owns the Green Machine. I remember you. I was the guy who was the contact for all the Vendors. Glad to see you did top honours

To save repetition, is there a website with all the details on the car? I'd like to hear the story behind it.

Yeah, congrats! Did you own the car last year? I work in scrutineering, saw it last year in it's old paint as it came through. Didn't see it come through this year, but was looking for it after seeing how much you had improved on what Troy and Clayton had originally done with the car. I'm sure they'll be very pleased to see how you've taken it to another level and won Summernats with it!

The November 04 issue of Street Machine has all the details on the car. I belive you can buy back issues from a web site. I can't remember the original issue of SM that featured it as the Hilliers originally built it as my older SM's are still packed away from the recent move...

congrats, a ****in awesome car! One of, if not the most desirable car i saw at the summernats. Considering of all the old school fords around the two models i would love to do up most of all are the XP coupe and a mustang around the 65/66 era, an having them as joint grand champion winners is bloody awesome.

TopFord2004:

Congratulations buddy! I'm very happy for you! I remember seeing the pictures of your car after it was first finished, in Ziggy's Newsletter.

From the build up pictures I've seen, that is a very well deserved title!!

Contragulations again, and it's great to have you here on FordForums.com.au!
