$2.50-3.00 for single plain pineapple (non Krispy) wrapped in plastic at various petrol outlets here.

The KrispyKremes sell by the box load at even higher prices at Caltex twin servo's on the NSW F3, they tell me that folk buy boxes at a time often enough.

Had a supplier rep who used to bring in a box of donuts for the crew of about 20 I worked with whenever they came in for a meeting....needless to say they were very popular and rarely had outstanding invoices.

But with KK its cheaper to buy a box as the single prices are pretty high. Mind you just looking as some of the electrical equipment there that runs the machines, your looking at a fair whack in setup costs.

I go to FG KK at least once a week and theres always a steady flow of clientele. You cant expect ppl to buy donuts 24/7!

KK are the nicest donuts out there, and for the ppl who complain about the prices, look at Donut King etc, KKs are maybe 20c dearer (and much nicer)

The best BFYB donuts are 'MR Donut' donuts available from most leading Supermarkets (approx $4 for a box of 4) great for all the tightasses.

Now im off to Krispy Kreme...ow my heart... deluxe choc milkshake with whipped cream will put that fire out...

I can only assume that to buy into a KK franchise youd need to drop a cool mil or so, that was the going rate for a new maccas store 1o years ago. I'd hate to see what their worth now.

Every time I'm there it seems like there's 2-3 people at most (they must do better during the day). The only time there's a large amount of people at FG KK in the evening (that I've seen) is when the SE car meets are down there.

Unfortunately you CAN'T buy a KK franchise, all the stores are company owned. :(

Trust me I've just been looking through the red tape to try and set 1 up here in Perth.

$12.95 for 12 original glazed doughnuts

But if you have that card you buy from fund-raising events... $12.95 for 24 original glazed doughnuts.

And yes they are worth it.

Nah ya get em as the price comes through the $2-$3 mark Dan... when they hit 99c, they're a bit sweaty... a bit tough (nothing 20sec in a microwave cant fix lol)

As for KK's... first ive heard of the pricing? Im required by state law to purchase at least 2 dozen when flying back from sydney (whats with the Qantas hosties... donut jokes everytime "where's mine"... they never seen a south australian before???) and i think they weigh in at about $13 for a dozen of glazed.

The sampler is where its at tho.

Default online order!!!!!!!!

Damn!

I just tried to order some online and was informed that my postcode is not in their delivery area. GOSH!!!

I mean according to their website i am only 2513km's away from the nearest store........I mean, it's at an airport for god's sake. Cant they just give them to someone who is flying over here to WA and just tell them to drop them off on the way past.

The world today hey????? ha ha

Cheers
Trav

The doughies are way over rated, I far prefer roadside doughies... So far had coffee from 3 KK stores, I have never tasted swill like it before - I've given them a fair go and IMO, they are cabbage.

I work at Fountain Gate store have been there since it opened.
Donuts are reasonably priced but they are priced to encourage sales of dozens, as it works out to just over a dollar per donut when you buy a dozen. Either buy 1 or buy a dozen, buying 6 is a waste of money cos u can get another 6 for the same price!
There are no franchises the company is owned by 3 very rich people in Sydney, one is the ex CEO of the NRL.
They have their fingers in brewing, mining, retail food etc...
The factory stores such as Fountain Gate were losing money in the lull of sales we had the last 6-8 months but sales have picked up again.
You'll find that all new stores are 'fresh shops' as in counter sales (no production) as these stores have little overheads so they are goldmines!
And last but not least I get to eat them for free ALL DAY!!!!

I agree. put on ya chastity belt when entering Lizbef by yaself.

If I had the dough to start up my own franchise here I would. I reckon it would completely go nuts here.

I haven't tryed one of these KK's yet. But talking about junk food from the US. Has anyone else tryed Ben and Jerry's icecream, YUMM! Esp chocolate brownie and fudge, to die for... Again not cheap, in europe about 7 euro's for 500g at least twice the price of other premium icecreams. But worth every penny. Anyone know where to get it in Oz?
