go to bunnings, get a hole saw, some alloy sheet, a soldering iron, then go to a speed shop and buy a 1050 Dominator. oh, and those bigger injector leads.

then go to a place that wrecks forklifts, and get the diff out of one. that way you'll have a set of 5.88 gears, and youll be able to fit a set of suitably modified EF taxi rims (say, 15x15's) because of the narrow width of the diff.

go to a truck wrecker, and get a reduction box, but put it in backwards. that way you'll still be able to cruise at 220kmph, even with the 5.88 gears.

of course you'll need some downforce at 220kmph, so swing by and see mick @ autobarn, and get the biggest alloy bolt on spoiler you can. Trust me, the bigger the better.
while you're there, get four cannons, and get them fitted in such a manner in that they're pointed upwards on a 45deg angle. the massive amounts of exhaust coming from each cannon will help force the rear of the car down.

don't worry about a proffesional paint job. its a waste of money.
find your friendly neighbourhood epileptic, hand them an open can of paint, and sit a strobe light on your roof. cheap custom paint job that will have everyone pointing ;)

get neons. 1" of neon tube = 1rwkw. just think what a full underbody kit will do for the mighty ea ;) ;)

i think those mods would be a good starting point.

sorry if i offended any epileptics. you guys rock ;)
well, shake uncontrollably, but you know what i mean

Thanks.. I just laughed coffee out my nose! :

Hey c'mon fellas, according to his profile he was born in 1988, making him only 18...be nice eh?

6cylEA - the best thing you can do is hang about these forums, and read a lot. There is massive amounts of information on here, many people swapping engines, gearboxes, dashes etc into vehicles they were never supposed to be in, and providing usefull information on how they did it.

Also, try and find a half decent mechanic, or someone that knows what they are on about, who can tell you what everything is and what it is for.

Don't bother putting in a C4, it is a waste of time. convert the car to manual instead, if you really want to swap boxes.

EF motors go for around $600 or so, and you would probably spend a grand in total putting it in.

If I was you, I would just sell the car and buy an EB manual instead. they arent that expensive and it saves the cost of converting the car to manual, and converting it to multipoint fuel injection.

That people shouldn't be so hard on a no0b...Not everyone has been into cars since they could walk (like myself :P) or mates/relatives who are mechanics who can provide healpful information, instead of just giving someone ***** because nobody has ever taught them better...

This worries me. For the sake of your parents, for all road users, get a push bike.

where in my post was i giving the 'no0b' '*****'?
a lot of early forklifts (and things such as the 'tugs' used for moving luggage at airports) actually used shortened Ford 9" diffs, with gears as low as 5.88 fitted.

anyone seen that EA drag car with the 15x15 black 12 slotters?

and c'mon, the fully sick 'epileptic effectz' paint job would surely win awards at the next Auto Salon, combined with the Neons...

coming soon to the for sale section; "group buy- sense's of humour"

Thank you so very much... the only problem with manual is cause I got my P's in an AUTO I cant drive a MANUAL yet... I mean I can drive a manual just I can't yet... so you reckon about $1600 or there abouts for the EF motor...cool... I have been into cars since I could walk, but my dad is into ****ing 4cyl's so I never bothered asking or learning anything about engine's and stuff. I disowned him because of it...

thats why I joined this forum to learn so if any one can give me usful info that would be great... And I am quiet fond of my car... But can you tell me if you have an EFI you have to stick with EFI motors is that true??

if someone has done a roof run, it could be time for a new car. so id look at mabey an eb or ed, fairly cheap, and got a fair stick of power behind them. perfect platform to build on man

Talking " God Made Holdens !!! To keep the Idiots Outa Fords "

I became a fan of the XR6 after meeting my now husband. In his words an absolute ball tearer.
In last month have purchased a 93 ED Tickford XR6 Auto Sedan in immaculate with 152,000km's on clock. Colour - Polynesian Green.

Had and still has 17" ROH rims with 235 Toyo tyres, sports steering wheel from territory/ltd i'm told.
CD Player with amp etc etc.

Have had fitted so far pacemaker extractors (ceramic) with 2.5" sytem and the hiflow cat thingy, K & N filter, slotted discs (front).

Has also had once over twice, oils, filters, auto service and flush, brake system flush, power steering flush and booked in for cooling system flush and air con service.

Will have Whiteline sway bars (front and rear), Monte Carlo bar front, rear strut tower brace when i find one.

Any verdicts on Camber Kits and slotted disc for rear ?

Anything else prior to going to head work, cam etc ?

Oh Yes !!! Hubby has 73 Mustang Convertible with 400 Cleveland/C6 Auto and this and that go fast handle stuff all over the place.
If i join E Series Club can he as well ?

well, I have taken the liberty of highlighting any parts of your preceding post which I read to be giving another forum member 5h1t:

I dunno...maybe I'm misreading things, but as a mechanic reading your post, which was aimed at someone with little knowlege who came to this forum looking for advice I took your post to be taking the p1ss...
