always been fords. so far ive had 5.

at the moment ive got the ef mont, ef futura wagon (gas baby!) and a 1.5 twin carb '85 s laser.

i could easily be swayed by most things from BMW with an M badge on it. or one of the new MPS mazda 6's or 3's.

I saw a beautiful red one on Saturday and nearly fell over. I think I'll have one in black though :sm_drool:

In the Muscle era, I would switch in an instant for a Hemi Powered Mopar, either a Hemi Cuda, Dodge Challenger RT, Dodge Charger RT, Daytona or Roadrunner Superbird....
In a modern car (not Ford), well I quite like this....

7.0 Litre V8, 505 HP Standard. Will do 190MPH off the showroom floor. 75k U.S. to buy.

I've done 100's of thousands of kilometers in company commies. This is enough prevent me from ever owning a holden. But there are few nissans out there that I would consider owning. And in the 4X4 arena it would be a troopy or a patrol.

Actually,
I'm about to move away from the blue oval myself.
I've just (few weeks ago) picked up an MY02 Subaru GT Forester. It pulls surprisingly well for a little 4-pot with only 130kw on tap, but that turbo creates a whole bundle of torque just about anywhere! It also fits the dog and a pushy with the front wheel on.

I was tempted by the EF XR6 Manual Wagon, but they're too fecking huge, my lady would just end up backing it into something!

I'll be keeping the XC as a project, but for now the Subaru badge gets a big tick!
Next car would probably be a Forester XT with even more power!

I have been a ford man since I was 16. But since buying my Subaru, I have been extremely happy with it.

In fact if all goes well, I plan to buy a Liberty GT next year. Im not saying I wouldnt buy another ford, its just that there are better cars out there and you have to drive these better cars to appreciate them.

That being said, I wouldnt go as far as buying a commo. Unless it was given to me.

As a project car, a 68 SS Chevelle or 67 mustung.

I don't know why all these people fall for BMW's, I think they look S**T! That's my personal opinion but before gettin my XR I was contemplating buying a R33 Skyline, so im no better! As said it would be preety stupid spending money you don't need to just to buy the blue oval. I would buy a car that is the best balance between performance and price that I want and have a tough ford in the garage for weekends cruising!

the next best thing, the SRT8 is featured in the next release of the NFS franchise, "Need For Speed: Carbon". Release date 9th November. Modelling looks really good too!

May sound strange but I reckon my next car will be a 2002 - 2004 Mitsubishi Triton dual cab diesel.

I love the Tritons. Dunno why but I reckon they are the most underrated 4WD in Australia.

I very nearly bought a GQII Nissan Patrol Ti a few months ago but fuel prices swayed me. Those 4.2 Petrols chug like a mudflats barman.

Exactly, the r33 is the worst of the lot
:

BMW's have a certain agro look about them that is not to out there or try hard.

Any generation of BMW, compared to its competition at the time, looks awesome. The only exception perhaps being the new 3 series; its as boring as a camry.

Ok ive been tempted by R32's and R33 skylines, Cmon a 2door, turbo sports car for 9g-17g is good i think, plus they fly!! But they are just as common as commies now so i want a New Lamborghini Murcielago just to be different!!

I am a Ford man through and through but given the chance i would take these in a heartbeat:
Any pre 74 Mopar
Audi RS6 or RS4
Mercedes SLR McLaren
Vauxhall Lotus Carlton
Buick GNX
BMW 2002 Turbo

Others i would consider:
Volvo 760 Turbo, 850 T-5\R
VN SS GRP A

My current ride did. But only until the next GT-P arrives and the Mustang is still enough Blue Oval reminder.

Cheers

all those MOPARS on Rides, the sick fish is all kinds of wicked. the 67 camaro or fire bird (same car 1'' longer bonnet) has the best lines of any car ever, nearly every other car no matter how sexy, looks a litlle funny from some angles, xa-xc coupes,69-70 mustangs are prime examples, but the 67 camaro is spot on. i was lured away once by a HQ tonner 308 turbo 400.
