I've still got heaps of the old school games.
The list includes: Alien Carnage / Halloween Harry Monster Bash BioMenace Blake Stone (demo) Blood (1st person shooter in a similar fashion to Doom/Wolfenstein but more gory) Various Carmen Sandiego Games Carmageddon (including the Splat Pack) Cosmo Creepers (similar style of game to Lemmings) Crystal Caves (side scroller) Death Rally Doom 1 & Doom 2 Duke Nukem 1, 2, and 3D Dune 1 & 2 Elastomania Electro Man Epic Pinball Pinball Fantasies / Pinball Dreams Hocus Pocus Jazz Jackrabbit 1 & 2 (including Christmas editions) Jill of the Jungle Commander Keen (the entire series including Keen Dreams) Ken's Labyrinth Lemmings (7 different versions) Mario Forever & Super Mario Monkey Island 1 & 2 Need For Speed 1 (demo) Raptor Realms of Chaos Secret Agent (similar to Crystal Caves) Solar Winds Mystic Towers (the main character is an old bloke with a walking stick) Virtua Cop 2 Wacky Wheels Warcraft 1 & 2 Wolfenstein & Spear of Destiny Xargon This is not all of them. There are still more! They are mostly full versions. I downloaded most of them from an abandonware site www.the-underdogs.info . I also downloaded an emulator called DosBox because half the games don't work on Windows XP. DosBox allows me to run them properly. I also got a front end for DosBox called D-Fend. It allows me to set up profiles for each game so I only have to click the icon to run the desired program at the optimum setting through DosBox. No more typing commands into dos! I haven't included pictures because there are too many games and my internet speed is capped (I went over my 20Gb/month limit). It would take forever to upload screenshots.

I remember tuning my autoexec.bat and config.sys just for WC2 to get not only the graphical display where the ship picture is in the middle of the cockpit, but to get the voices of the characters that are talking to you. I played that for ages.

Sorry no screen captures, but fond memories of my Atari 2600, I used to get up at 5am so i could play on it before school (late 1982 or there abouts). Used to play Grand Prix at night school in the caff. I also remember playing something like space invaders on one of the original Apples back in 1980, green screen and all. And showing my age, we had a "TV Game" back around 1978 - Tennis, and several different version (very much like "Pong").
Now play a lot of the early 80's arcade stuff using mame. No need to line up 20c pieces. Still crap at most of the games though. |

any1 into the amstrad console. or any other older console, try using a Emulator, roms are free, (I think I have them all) I have installed but dont use it much now, Caprice (Amstrad Emu) I loved sorcery+ hours and hours and hours spent on it..
The only other game I spent as much time on was Atari's, Pit Fall, and River Raid. The only classic machines I paid for (for nastalga reasons) Have a fully working Tandy Model 4a. (circa 1982) $$$ Comodore 64 (with Disk + Tape drive) (circa 1983) Free Amstrad 6128 (circa 1985) $$$ Plus 20 other pc's. |

Flashback is one of my all time favourite games. Another World is pretty tough - hard to get used to the controls. That black beast in the background chases you through most of the game....this one used to give me nightmares. I have owned just about every console. Still play a lot of old games. just started playing final fantasy 7 again. love my old games. Played bubble bobble just last night at the cinemas. The best way to enjoy the old games now is to download the emulators and the roms. Check out this site:- http://www.rom-world.com It has an emulator and roms for just about everything - works for PC's and Macs aswell. Game on.
