I just hope there isnt any hail like in the March '10 storm, because I've got two cars parked out in the open with no way to cover them. I think we will be fine where I am, we should get torrential rain though.

Watching the radar now just waiting for it to hit.
Lost power for 23 hours on Sunday/Yesterday.... hope we keep it this time, better prepared this time, went to Bunnings and bought a rechargeable camp fluro and a battery power radio (got a bit bored once the laptop and iPad batteries went flat last time)...

Should be right! Unless I lose power! Which usually happens every time it rains... Except on the weekend. No interruptions at all!!!

Although, still waiting on Western Power to compensate me for my computer, after they fried it with a little 'event' at the substation up the road after the first heavy rains in April....

You know what, I think it's over. Bit of a fizzer this one. I'm actually disappointed, but really it's a good thing.

My sister said that. But I am on the southcoast and I saw there was a gust over 100 in busso not long ago. According to the reports, we are not expected to feel the storm till 2am. I am really hoping that it is a fizzer as we are prone to flooding and I just foind the front facing windows, 2 have craks in them, so I have put electrical tape on them and hope they are not smashed by strong wind this morning.

Well I hope everyone got through the night. There has been some very strong gusts here. Seems to be weakening, but some strong gusts still around. Few times I expected the windows to blow out, or the roof to tear off. It has been a long night with 1hrs sleep and I have to get up at 6 anyway, so I think I will just stay awake and an afternoon siesta is on the cards. Might head down to the beach and have a look.

Yeah a bit of a fizzer compared to Sunday but us here in Perth aren't yet privy to what went on in the south west. Sure we got heavy rain and wind but they way it was being talked up, it was going to be apocalyptic.

Well it is light and I am on the South Coast. Still blowing a gale here, I tried to take photo's at the beach but as I rocked up it started to pour hail. Took a drive around and it was pretty well just like any other wind night. We still have big 70km gusts here, and will be that way until around 11am, not sure about perth or south west corner, but we have had wind and crap since 1am, with no let up before 11am. Thankfully but no damage.

Yeah no where near as bad as they talked it up, but still I'd rather have a warning of something that might happen, rather than no warning at all.
