if we pushed this to Kiwiland as well.

Whale Rider, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, then of course you have to add Narnia series of movies and Lord of the Rings

If you wish to include Kiwiland.. the Once Were Warriors movie definitely deserves a mention.. Jake the Muss

Here's another movie that's been bugging me for a few days.. I have been trying to track it down and finally did.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's called Cactus.
Starring Bryan Brown, Shane Jacobson

Trailer below:

A totally low budget Aussie movie Black Water was also well worth a watch. Very suspenseful

Trailer below:

And while I'm on a roll and full of beans, at like 4 am, Da Ummm!
the movie Convict was a 5 outta 5 stars for me.

Trailer below:

The Shiralee ( the original, cos filmed locally)
Road games ( it's bigger than a breadbox)
Charlie and Boots
Death in Brunswick
Strictly Ballroom

Have seen Walkabout a few times but found it weird.
The bit in Bad Boy Bubby where he holds up the store with a dead cat always cracks me up.

Hi Guys,
well i guess iam showing my age when asked what my favorite classic Australian Movie is.

1. Mad Max.
2. Red Dog.
3.Dons Party.

Dons Party for those guys and girls that are too young or werent even born when the movie came out. Its on the night of the Election in which Gough Whitlam became Prime Minster. The late Graham Kennedy was in it and he turned out to be a good actor.
