Allah plates FTL :S Your metallic thud could be a number of things btw. Loose caliper, dud wheel bearing or even a uni. You'll have to do some narrowing down. Sundeep |

Nup, I'm being soft on both ;)
Solo camping = rear suspension testing would look very, err, self-loving :P 'specially with no curtains or tint! |

No curtains, although I should get her to whip up a purple velour suit with white ruffles, 80s Prince style. Should go down well in the office.

hey, the ticking could be rockers/tappets lol mine does it and i doesnt bother me lol makes people look and think "look at that heap of ****" makes me laugh at them
i use 15-40 for the oil thats the recomended visco! that tap sounds like you have a loose caliper (needs a shim put in)

Thanks, confirms my suspicions. I might look for 20w-40 & see what comes up.
No chance to jack the car up tonight to have a looksee for the mystery tap, the gf's had it all night (work/play). Cheers |

I have also heard that Injectors make a tick, but the lifters/tappets/rockers would make a much louder noise, more noticable than the injectors so I would say the oil is your best bet, mechanics probably just slurped in whatever they had 400 Litres of out the back last service.
