I'm amazed that no one has mentioned "Radar Lover" by Golden Earring.... "Been driving all nigh my hands wet on the wheel...."

Top gear is running a survery asking the same thing, the most popular ones out of all the nominations were these:

1) Radar Love: Golden Earring
2) Steppenwolf: Born to be Wild
3) Queen: Don't Stop Me Now
4) Deep Purple: Highway Star
5) Meat Loaf: Bat out of Hell

I can say quite confidently that they hate #5 though, I have to agree, the rest are good though.

  • Cars - Fear Factory (cover of the same song originally done in the 80s, but awesome to drive to and not as heavy as you might expect, suitable for people who usually wouldn't listen to Fear Factory IMHO)
  • Body Hammer - Fear Factory (probably too heavy, but I love to drive to it, hard to drive slow while listening to that one!)
  • Nice Guys Finish Last - Greenday
  • Out Ta Get Me - Guns n Roses
  • One Step Closer - Linkin Park (yeah yeah, shuddup :P)
  • Wherever I May Roam - Metallica
  • I Dissapear - Metallica
  • Motorbreath - Metallica (or the original version by Motorhead)
  • Hit The Lights - Metallica

There are a few from my personal cruise jukebox, lol

Riders on the Storm, LA Woman - Doors
White Room - Cream
and Midnight Rambler - Rolling Stones
Wishing Well - Free
Sweet Home Alabama - Lyrnyd Skyrnyd
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

MMM released a Double "Rock Blues" compilation a few years back. It had a lot of the tracks on other posts. See if you can get a copy.
