Is it just me, or in the first picture it looks like the back end is too wide and long. Just seams to big compared to the rest of the car.

Too be fair, in a sea of very ugly cars that can be bought these days, they must have just gone for the one that's the most "out there". A Dodge Ram easily beats this thing.
Sick of seeing ugly new cars. This thing is just another ugly new car and is definitely not the best looking car.

There are certain angles the car looks nice, and there are others that I don't like. Looks are always subjective, I wouldn't agree that it's the best looking car currently on sale, but it's certainly eye catching.

Looks like a Celica with a boy racer body kit and the expanded mesh grille...no actually they look better. It will sell, but it will blend in with all the other modern "stealth" look cars in the car park these days. I like the colour on the red one but it looks terrible on this car, really exaggerates the shape.

Exactly what I thought. For years Lexus have thought whacking a body kit on a Toyota Design is enough.
This time they have made a Camry 2 door with disproportionate Guards.

A sophomoric effort by the "styling team".
Looks more like a caricature of a car. Keep working on this one boys!!

From a purely design point of view, it's nice but the rear of the roof line tapers in too much for my liking. Makes it look too small and the rear wheels too too far apart in track.

Most beautiful car? Doubt it, it is too subjective. It is a better looking Lexus from the current crop. From a design point of view, sure it has some very nice design about it, but design doesn't mean it has to be good looking.
From a pure look perspective, i would say the Alfa Giulia is a better looking car, but design wise, the Lexus is probably better.

I don't mind it. It has a nice aggro about it. Perhaps if it was a little less ricey with some of the highlights and trim it would be aesthetically better overall.
As it stands it's a whole world better looking than the KIA stinger that most are finding to be a good looking car....

I love the Alfa Giulia looks. Not a fan of the current theme of styling. They're just so "pointy" Lexus and Lamborghini being the worst followed by BMW

I suppose this just shows how fine a line that car designers have to tread.
On one hand if a design doesn't push the boundaries (for the brand or overall car design) then said design is considered boring or bland. Case in point would be the current generation Jaguar XF or Aston Martins. Beautiful cars, but considered to conservative relative to their predecessors. Push to hard, like Lexus in this case, then they are excoriated for pushing the boundaries too far. In my opinion, at least Lexus are providing something different to the sea of same same.

How about a Dodge Charger? (Hellcat!)
Dodge make the last of really nice bold agressive styled cars. And funnily enough they still make real cars not bull**** melted plastic Camry looking fwd city boring rubbish that is as exciting as staring at a wall. Motoring is going down the dunny! The Lexus doesnt rate jack **** in my books. I couldnt go outside, see that parked in my driveway and feel good about it at all. This Dodge on the other hand....hell yeah!

Saw one in Mittagong on Sunday.
Certainly got my attention, came past slowly in a shopping centre carpark. I had to look it up when I got home as I had no idea what it was - not pretty but certainly different. |

After a day of thinking, the car does look pretty nice. Shock factor was high initially, but the more I see the more i appreciate the car and its overall form. Does look beautiful and can only imagine it looking even more stunning closeup in the flesh. But the interior looks abit meh.

I`m late to the party , and i am a bit of a lexus boy , i wasnt a fan at first , but its starting to grow on me , i think it looks better in the flesh , also and you certainly would have to say it has its own style which is something that getting hard to say these days , even some of the older posh brands can look decidedly ho hum these days .
I`d have the lexy in a heart beat ......... if i won lotto . |

I've seen pigs with better looking snouts than that.
I would be embarrassed to park next to one, let alone be seen driving it. A woman at work bought a Lexus that had the same front end. I didn't have the heart to tell her that she would have been better off with a Toyota 86 at half the price.

Ok, so I saw it again today in Mittagong, turns out I was wrong it was an RC350 F-Sport (see below), when I spotted it today I realised it wasn't the LC500, doesn't even really look like it to be honest, it was just that busy rear end that got my attention. |

It looks busy and messy like all of Toyota's recent designs.

It may not be able he most beautiful of all time but I have to retract my previous post. It is certainly a looker, much more than anything Lexus have offered before. There were two of them at work today.

No, no.
But in saying that it seems all cars take (steal) design cues from other manufacturers so they all look the same to me.

Whatever happened to less is more? These things look tacky. Car designing has really hit an odd path in this day and age...
