Doco would be fantastic, I'm trying it now and let me tell you it's not that bloody easy! When I heat up the blade it melts other parts of the light too!

i think just ditch the centre garnish and have a steel plate welded in and painted body colour witha custom rear bar housing the number plate and rev lights, then get the corners massaged to fit some "special" tail lights

That looks sweet with the boot garnish and lights matched. Great work.

Ahh ricey but different

If you use the coloured globe shouldn't be an issue my mate has the full clear tail light on his AU ute with coloured globes has had no issues with police or rta.

how THE fu** is that ricey?????????
no offence dude but some people are using that word without actually thinking about what there calling rice and that is not RICE!!!
if he got altezza's on his ed then yes it would be rice but hes drammatically imroved the look of the rear end of his car whilst retaining a "factory appearance"!!

Note: the words "factory appearance" and "rice" are never used in the same sentence

clear repeaters must be ricey :P

but nah, full clear lights by taking out the red reflector would be illegal even if u changed the clobes, need the red reflector in the light for other headlights to bounce off and see u.

Well done InitialD, that looks superb. It looks like you found the ideal way to get those damn orange reflectors out.

Not ricey at all bud. Now, put some HKS stickas on it, with a flame snorting dragon crawling down the side of the car and a 5ft high rear alloy spoiler, and thats ricey.

Initial D, could you take a pic of your light close up now along the joins and stuff, I'd like to see how yours turned out, I managed to make one, but I'm not happy with the end product.
