I got RBT'd on the bike about a month ago
Took a short cut thru the Kallangur Tavern car park at 930pm and there was a booze bus (2 cars and a bike) doing RBT's and they seen me exit the driveway near ABC he lookes at me realised I was not a young one and yelled at me to stop They tested me and the cop said most blokes my age ride the bikes to the pub get a skin full and ride home thinking they are safe from getting done

You must have your lights operating on your car at night. Do you leave them on in the shed after you get home? Who ever said laws are logical...... |

jeez, i dunno how people can ride a bike drunk, all the poles and stuff youd hit, and damn it would be hard to balance! and i remember when i was riding along with a friend once seeing who could go faster we rode through a 40 zone doing 60+ didnt realize you would be able to cop a fine for that, lucky we didnt get caught!

You know the nut blokes that fly down hills on road bikes pass traffic like its death on wheels. Thats me covered in my flame jersey. Huge legs constantly speeding. Been done twice for running red light. Warned for doing 65 in a 50 zone on the flat. And copped a hefty fine on my carbon road bike doing 90+ down hill in a sixty zone. Police car came up behind me seen me passing cars like they were standing still. Can get done for nearly anything on a push bike.

68mph on a bike would feel like absolutely FLYING!
I've done 70km/h on my road bike and even that makes you think twice, because coming off at that speed is going to hurt ... A LOT!

just with regard to the comment earlier about wheel reflectors. In Qld at least they're not mandatory.

To divert,
Back in my high school days I clocked 76.4km/h on a mountain bike down a big hill on the highway. Whats more there was a corner I had to navigate to turn left into a road. Was it fast, damn straight, was it mad oh definitely. Ahh the things we do.

Back in the day, Toowoomba range was a nice test of virtue, hammering down, then the challenge of either riding up or hooking onto a truck for a tow. Awesome fun, seemed to be no consequences when you're young.......would i do it now? Not on ya life!!!

Bikes should have CTP like every other road user. How can they use the road and not meet ADRs? You cannot even use a segway in NSW let alone these idiots on pushbikes.
