I love the windows down so I pop the AC on too- gives a cool breeze even in really hot weather.
The power loss is not bad-it takes too long to kickdown when needed but this is purely the gearbox (4 speed BA) rather than to motor. Once up to speed she goes quite well even with the AC on. I dont care about the fuel cost, company pays for it all and if I did care, I 'd be running a more economical car (probably drive it more economically too!) :eclipsee_
