That's not American style! It measures the burger in centimeters.

Not only do we not measure burgers metrically, we measure them by weight, in fractions of a pound. Diameter is meaningless.

TGI Fridays is at the Jam Factory isn't it?

@Moby Vic, great response. Put a smile on my dial.

Ribs and Rumps gives out decent portions. Went to the one in Fortitude Valley and had a half rack of beef ribs, half rack of pork ribs, 220g steak and two handfuls of chips. Yum...

I love man vs food, seen every episode and whilst the eating challenges are not my thing, I just want to go to the u.s for their hotdogs, bbq, pizza, burgers and brisket. Everytime a brisket was shown I wish I could have gone into the tele, I don't know where to buy, how to cook or any eatery that even sells it.

He's on a new show but can't find the name of it. Essentially the same thing but he appears to get someone else to try the eating challenge.

Memory isn't what it used to be, to me seems to be all new footage.

I have a really good recipe for ribs (dry rub), but you gotta get the Famous Dave's Sweet & Zesty sauce, and it is phenomenal. If anyone wants it, let me know.

He retired from competitive eating. He now does the show while recruiting others (including a vegetarian completing a beef burger challenge in the last episode) to do the hard lifting.

Is that Misty's Diner?
If so I've heard good things.

Another place in Melbourne is Captain America's Hamburger Heaven.
They have a burger and fries challenge too.

I haven't been to either of these, but Man V Food has perked up my interest that's for sure.

Yup, Tony Roma's is known for their bbq sauce aka wet ribs (opposed to dry rub). Can you get their onion loaf there too? It's literally a loaf shape of sweet onion rings that you dip in more of their bbq sauce.

I like that you wrote "burger and fries" because fries are called chips there right? When I hear chips I think of potato chips.

Although, hearing an Australian say chips I know what he's talking about.

I type this as I'm watching man v food.....

Chips in most places 'fries' in the larger international chains (McDonalds, Burger King (called Hungry Jacks here) etc.

Then, some places call them fries because they are cut thin and stringy.

I cant remember seeing anything like that but then again I didnt really look at
the menu in any great detail... First time there so we all (four of us) grabbed
rib variations

That's generally how I equate it. Fries are thin, chips are thicker cut and chups are what you buy in NZ.

Novembars in Perth (Dianella) is as good as it gets when it comes to Man Vs Food.

They do 101 pattie burgers, food challenges etc.

The other night I had a crack at WA's (if not Australias) Hottest Burger... Before I could even have a crack at the burger with 500g chilli infused beef patty, i had to stuff down a GHOST CHILLI that had been soaked in a variety of chilli sauces and relishes. Insane.

I got about halfway through before I gave up. Will be going back to have another go soon.
