Huh? Is this the nine time Bathurst winner your talking about?
If so he was killed in a custom kit car dubbed the Daytona Coupe running an LS1. Not a Porsche.

Shame, ,my wife was his Aust publicist for FF, I met him on during the publicity tour of the very first one. Nice guy, was just a dude. One of the few Hollywood actors that no-one ever had a bad word for.
Forever young.....RIP Condolences to his daughter. Car looks a mess obviously not just doing 50.... |

Apparently the driver was his friend and CEO of one of his companies.
RIP, seemed like a decent guy in Hollywood and did a lot for charities. Very sad for his 15 year old daughter. Loved his FF movies |

From : WHO magazine
The actor died Saturday afternoon when the Porsche he was travelling in crashed and exploded in Santa Clarita, California. The driver of the vehicle, ex-race car driver and owner of Walker's auto-racing team, Roger Roadas, also died. http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/who/ar...n-a-car-crash/ So, he was an experienced driver..it will be interesting to find out the cause of the accident.

RIP I liked him in the shark men show he did on foxtel where he helped out the crew who sailed around guadalupe island catching and releasing great white sharks to track them and see mating/migrating patterns. Terrible loss. |

What's scary for me is I only watched that a few days ago. And I tweeted him asking if he still does things like that....

Death is always tragic, but it is always a shame when the good people get taken early, while the druggies and trash who contribute nothing live on. It just always seems that the people who help others etc are the ones who die young and tragically.
Seemingly nice everyday dude who helped in starting a new car culture and ran charities to help those in need. Rip |

I was hoping that when I woke up this morning, that this was all but a dream... unfortunately it wasn't. I feel for his family, friends, colleagues and fans, but most of all, his 15 year old Daughter. May you R.I.P Paul Walker, your legend will live on through the decades, as generations talk about you in the kindest manner. May the Car Gods take care of you, and allow you to drive everything you ever wanted, on whatever track you love.
It is just, so so sad.

pauls car sustained a awful lot of damage for just hitting a signal pole and a small tree, he wasnt even the driver but theres sfa info on the guy who was driving, they were both heavly involved in charity work for tyhpoon aid. the media isnt reporting much on the traffic signal he hit first, just the tree.
compare these 2 pics.. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...95_964x636.jpg http://www.ronebergcairns.com/2006on...ral06_1143.jpg mass of the porsche would be a hell of a lot greater than the daytona, made a hell of a lot of mess and looks like its been torn from the inside out. ouch |

Man, RIP Paul. My condolences to his family and friends, especially his young daughter. Also, my condolences to the family of Roger Rodas, the seemingly forgotten 2nd person in the car.
I wanted to try and figure out what happened so I thought that I'd try and find the spot where he crashed, it's not on Rye Canyon Loop which is where the media said it was, but in a street next to it. There’s quite a curve just before the crash site, so I’d say that the tail came out at high speed and I don’t think they weren’t doing donuts like some think, even though there were marks on the road today, there were in Dec ‘11 when street view went through there too. Also, right at the tree where the car was sitting is a pipe system above the ground, I wonder if it’s a gas line... Even if it’s not, it would destroy the bottom of the car tearing up things like the fuel and break lines (I’m not sure if they’re under the car on a Porsche) Either way though, looking at the wreckage, I’d say that they died before the fire started, thank goodness. It’s a small mercy in a tragic situation. Kraig

Details are continuing to emerge about the fiery car crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and one other person, with reports suggesting the Porsche he was riding in suffered a mechanical failure caused by a power steering fluid leak.
Walker was killed when the red sports car he was traveling in slammed into a tree and caught fire around 3:30 pm (2330 GMT) on Saturday in the town of Santa Clarita, in Los Angeles county, local media reported. Sources close to the auto shop-co-owned by Walker and Porsche driver Roger Rodas have told how they saw "evidence of a fluid burst and subsequent fluid trail before the skid marks at the accident scene." I think old mate from jackass was in a Carrera GT when he died too??
these cars have a bit of a reputation for biting back. I guess when it's your time to go it's your time to go It's never easy to deal with tho. not really a fan of people filming a burning car with dead people tho, I may be different to other people but it seems a lil disrespectful to me |
