Nope, no Brembos, just standard sliding calipers.

This front bar was very close to production before it was changed. Tooling was already done.

Due to that I would not be suprised if Ford ended up using it considering it would cost next to nothing to implement.

That front bar looks like rubbish, they sure made the right decision to change it.

Could DJR be working on a range of modded falcons?

Would be nice if they had a more sensible crack at the market and aimed for GT/HSV R8 Territory.

If they were, they should be at Herrods, not DJR I'd say.

Nothing could rival them for ugliness. have seen a couple on the road and they are just butt ugly. The DRL's are in the wrong place and really look it when it is on the road.

But I suppose they got rid of all the stuff the yanks didn't want.

Yeah I saw one of them the other day driving behind me. People say they look better in the flesh but it actually shows you how misplaced the lights are when you see them working.

Should probably keep this on topic.

They look like BA Xr8 mags to me. Perhaps it was a ex test car from Ford...hence the thrashing.

I think that front bar looks tougher than what they decided to go with, too understated and blends in with the rest of the cars on the road

Could it be the way the FG FPV was supposed to look?
Didn't they have to change the design at the last minute because it looked to similar to the XR's?

Nope. FPV's designs were found in a Tip in mid 2007. It was only the XR designs that were changed, as the dealers did not think they were aggressive enough. It is strange, because I think the EL GT is one of the most interesting Ford designs of the Modern (EA-BF) era, and it is obvious where this Orion mule is getting its design cues from.

There was talk of another XR design that was canned before the FG release.
Maybe just as well.

Those CDT Grand Prix specials might have had Dick Johnson's name on them but they weren't developed by DJR. They were built by a company in Melbourne.

Don;t know about being moved daily, but they certainly weren't there a month or so back

Are you referring to AIT? Those in the know understand that but to the general public its a DJR car of sorts.

Sorry, I don't mean to change the subject of this thread but David Inall who once worked for AIT did a re-release on the Blue Turbo car out of Qld but the original ones were done by a company in Dandenong called CDT (Country Dealer Team who also ran Gemini's at Bathurst) they started with some Turbo Commodores and then a run of turbo / non turbo Falcons.

It doesn't really matter, just like the DJR 320, built and developed by Herrod's.
But they are referred to as the DJR 320.
