Did ya get the golf buggy to practise your reverse parks? lol

Seriously, whats the buggy for?

Each to their own on the GT parts, not my cup of tea.

Ditto With that Yagz,

Wagons have never been anything all that spesh to me (Except Nebs. I love that car) I reckon that the GT bonnet is a little too much for the car (wagons have a stigma of being family cars, and not sporty), especially with the Monty rims (Which looked wrong even on waynes car, Sorry). But with some new wheels, it will be nearing Nebs car which is an awesomely hot hot hot wagon

Tommi, be rid of the driving lights, get yaself some short springs and lowering blocks and that should help in fixing it up. Really mate you need to ask yourself:

"will I keep this car long enough to justify spending the money on these innapropriate(for a wagon) mods??"

I speak from experience. I've spent hell close to 10 grand on my car, and now its gotta go. How much do i get back for the bodykit, wheels and such? F*CK ALL!

Honestly mate, ya car looks OK, its just a bad combination of mods and bodyshape. Good luck with the rest of it mate, congrats on getting this far.

-Dan

It's come a long way Tommi but I'm with Danny, Yagz and Dan(sedgli). The bonnet looks pretty meh.

You have to stop getting stuff just because it's going cheap! Save up and get some real cosmetic mods like lowering, big wheels etc. etc.

Do you still have your old bonnet? If you do put the GT one on ebay and put the old one on and go to your room and think about what you have done. :dr_Evil:

whats so bad about it? i havnt even done 1% of the planned mods and ppl already hate it:P

i saw a ea with just the vents and it looked abit weird the scoop actually imo looks alright i hatesd the GT hood aswell, i only actually bought it because of e-bay:P but i wanted to put it onto my car for fun and it actually looks alright
you really have to see the car to know what i'm talking about...

yes i will lower it to low springs when i get around to it, i'm only going low as i will be towing with it...

the golf buggy: i found that on the forums for $700 bought it off NIKO and modded it up, will try to take it on the course

and mick: dont even think about revealing the plans:P- i don't even know how much i've told you:P afik you only know about the rest of the kit:P but thats just meh compared to the rest of the stuff that will be done:P

You are going to need a tough engine underneath it. GT bonnet on I6 auto wagon is a little rice IMO

I dont quite get what the big secret with your plans are. If you share them you might get more objective opinions on the bonnet (maybe you are going to convert it to a sedan and put a v8 + manual in it)

Each to their own though.

Exactly, Im with stock standard.

If maybe you let us in on whats to come, we may be able to visualise it as a whole and appreciate what it may soon look like. Then the bonnet may be a little more accepted

Heres what id do.

Remove and burn the GT grill, spotties and vents.

Install an EA grill
Fully colour code the bumpers (install chrome strips if desired)
EL door handels
Black out the B pillar
EB Spac lower lip
Tint (10% on the back side windows)
DUMP it. I mean really low
Nice exhaust/intake/cam/head package (or turbo)
Nice and simple 17" rims

The last two cost a bit,but the first few are relativly cheap and will make the car look smooth!

Keep it up mate, wagons look HOT AS when done correctly.

Walkinshaw has good points tommi.

That bonnet really don't look good. Make some money off Ebay and get rid of it and then spend the money toward the EA grill, and colour coding Tint and dumpage. Subtlety is my motto, and i agree wholeheartedly with Walky. Its too much, especially with those wheels.

I'm with FPVWEPN right now, but i'm sure when it's finished it'll look pretty good. I've always loved the look of the XR style lights on wagons HINT HINT :P

the bonnet doesnt suit it.....

...yet

with a nice fat body kit, some nice fat wheels and bringin the centre of gravity downnnn, it could turn out quite nice.. the thing is at the moment the bonnet is too fat for the car.. stands out too much..

i have faith lmao.. but no real judgement can be made until its finished!

tommi, give us some plans bro, maybe some of us can photochop some stuff together for ya and give you an idea, some opinions. the best thing about opinions is each to their own and at the end of the day u can disregard them all. but they make u think.

patience, take your time, dont rush... you gettin the idea? lmao

i've learnt the hard way by rushin and regrettin.. especially when its time for the mags and stuff.. dun jump at the first.. relax and find something you really like..

probably also best to consult someone when buying mags to work out what the best combination of sizes of mags and tyres to go with to minimise speedo error.. or use speedocalc on fordmods..

cheers bro,

santo

For what the car is now it looks silly, but you have to start somewhere! I'm sure it'll look great once it's all finished - keep posting up progress pics!

ok heres my opinion what you should do (for looks) in order..

remove spotlights
debadge
clear side indicators
el tail lights (clear indicator)
superlows (dont go lows, you'll still be able to tow fine with superlows)
new rims (17s or even 18s)
and to finish it off since you like the gt look... do the rest of the gt bodykit (side skirts and rear bar might have to be custom?)

make sure you do the engine to match the look!
