This sounds too good to be true, the op has got to be related to lovford.

Can I ask what model of GT-P it was, ie what engine?

Boss 5.4 or the Boss 5.0 SC?

I could spend less than 10k on yours too and get it quicker than 10sec , but it prob wouldn't last to long

Have owned turbo 6’s before. Still I prefer V8’s. Better all rounder than a turbo.

It’s not all about straight line performance, but even if it is, nothing beats a worked 8.

Start with a stock 6 and a stock 8 and spend an equal amount on engine mods for each. You’re kidding yourself if you think the 6 will come out in front.

Traditionally a V8 produced more horse power per pound of fuel used whereabouts a turbo engine produced more power per weight.
So even thou a turbo car will leave the V8 behind at the lights, the V8 will always pass the turbo car at the next fuel station.

Force as much air in as you can mate doesn't change the fact that someone beat a gt in a 6cld hence why v8s are so slow

You may be surprised how fast they are. You will be embarrassed by it. Many on here have certainly been taught about the power of the Camry and its mesmerising ability to spin $h!t into Gold. It’s also known to turn its driver green with rage and somehow that spirit remains here on the forum well after the initiator of the legend has long been banished.

And yet battery power beats both turbo and 8 in a straight line. Why are turbo 6’s so slow when a Tesla blows them both off the line?

Are we only comparing falcon 6 to 8? If not, the Dodge Demon video above is perfect, show me any factory turbo which lifts wheels and is banned from drag strips for being too quick (with too little safety to compensate).

Why are turbo6 Neesans so slow compared to motorbikes? NA4 cyl compared to forced induction 6?

As a serious answer to your question in a nutshell....

Assuming both drivers are equal in drag racing ability, and both cars can lay down the rubber equally with traction....

The car that can generate the most torque at the lowest RPM will get off the line first in most cases.

After a distance.... Horsepower eventually takes over and wins.

Barra Turbo > High torque at a lower RPM
Ford V8 > High torque usually higher in the RPM range
Tesla > Maximum torque from the start

I have an xr6 turbo and a supercharged xr8. They are both great, fast cars. The difference is the turbo tries to rip its tyres off once it boosts in first/second gear, while the xr8 tries to rip its tyres off in first/second, then again at 100km/h.

People who own either one or the other will likely fanboy about that particular car and say it's better because "insert reason here" but the truth is they're both animals. Just the 8 is like a complete mental case when fully unleashed.

But going back on topic..

4 cyl’s less then a V8 and that bike would still chop a GT. How can that be....lol
