No they don't. It might be improved but it's not as good as it's competition. It's cheap.

People are canning the ZB on sales. It is doing better then Mondeo.Still should be given the boot.I dare say there is probably a good profit margin in the thing.Think I have only seen maybe one or two on my local dealer lot in the last six months.Hardly a good seller.Cheers

Mondeo is not named Falcon though. If they called it Insignia no one would care.

Mondeo hasn't been a historically big seller, nor promised to be.

ZB is failing to draw the buyers that it was hoped to.

ZB is coming off the VF2 Commodore base sales and that is their expectation, it’s a fail.

Mondeo is NOT a Falcon replacement, and is second in its segment to Camry.

Od course I can, they are Ford's two biggest cars up against Holden's biggest car.

And then there's this,

Holden doesn't have a problem with car sales, it's getting enough boats to take the cars back home..

We need Tony Abbott to stop the boats again....

The difference is, Holden spent millions re-engineering the Insignia and spent the past 18 months drip feeding the media about how much Australian influence the new Commodore has.

Mondeo just plods along with minimal advertising or fleet hoaring.

April is a slow month, business waits to see what the May budget has in store plus the EOFY sales kick in soon.

However, with 473 ZB Commodore sales, it was at this point Holden realised it was in serious doodoo.

Historically April is always a soft month compared to March.
March is the Japanese EOFY which is why the Japanese Brands' sales numbers were so aggressive/inflated (compared to April). Looking at the comparison between March and April for the Japanese brands, I'd bet there are a lot of cyber cars sitting on the dealer lot with Bart Simpsons as their first owners.

And yes, as mentioned May will be ramping up again with some brands already starting their EOFY campaigns early to get momentum into June

Albeit a very, very distant second. But in saying that even Camry sales are down almost 60% compared to the same time last year.Cheers;)

The market segment is collapsing, SUV and Light Trucks are now the family vehicles.
It will be interesting to see what the different companies do in regard to this segment.
Do you think Australia will see an updated Mondeo?

Just proves that manufacturers can sometimes get the planets to align enough to build at least one good car from hundreds of thousands of lemons. All the while my girlfriends 3 yr old craptiva continues to fall apart, electrics fail and engine to rattle like a washing machine full of spanners on start up. Not to mention the random idle hunting. Absolute hunk of ****.

Your defence of it is good for a laugh though.

Just an observation that combined sales of Ford's two largest cars outsells ZB Commodore.
It's not stupid to compare two largest cars in brand A to single largest car in Brand B

Now if Holden had two larger car like Commodore and Malibu or Insignia...oh wait....

Mondeo, still a player in the medium car segment - even though its 200 sales.
I cant speak for Mazda, but Stinger is constrained by global supply issues. They want to sell more but cant.

Again, you are comparing a “sports car” up against a car in a completely different segment.Again your analogy is completely wrong.Whether it outsells the ZB is irrelevant.ZB is NOT its competitor. If Camaro was in Holden’s line up,you would have an argument, but you don’t.VFACTS:Sports cars under 150k: Mustang,Mercedes C Class,BMW 2 series(Mustangs direct competitors) Large car under 70k: ZB Commodore,Kia Stinger & Skoda Superb(Direct competitors) Do some research.
